โ โ โ โ โ Got a teh tarik siew tai and the Haig Rd Putu Piring there for tea break. Outstanding, 5 star quality and freshness for the putu piring. Coconut shavings, gula melaka and warm putu is what knocks it out of the park! Teh was milky and hot! Love it!

โ โ โ โ โ Had a fried fish soup. To my surprise & disappointment...out of about 8 pieces of fried fish only 2 came with fish inside. This ridiculous.
Thus will be my last visit. Seen the reviews and no wonder I'm not the only one giving poor rating.

โ โ โ โ โ Overall unsatisfied or disappointed just because the fish soup stall had my order wrong when I personally requested and even after paying and checking with the owner + the staff behind the counter. And not bothering to waste the trip down and argue.
I ordered fried fish tom yum and when I returned home, I was shocked to see tom yum seafood. Seriously, they should listen and if they can't do it. Say so and not promised something and give another. Tho plenty of variety the first experienced is good enough not to return. Thank you

โ โ โ โ โ Tried the putu piring from the Haig Road stall here which were the best, must try.
They seemed softer and better than the haig road shop on Onan Rd.

โ โ โ โ โ Whenever I am within the Geylang Serai area, Mr. Teh Tarik is one of my favorite places to go.
We went there to get our Hokkien mee and fried Kway Teow for lunch. It is near the entrance just beside the pisang goreng stall.
As always, the 2 dishes we ordered are Hokkien mee and fried kway teow. Ironically, although the menu is Chinese but the cook is of Indian heritage and he cooks it perfectly and fast too. You don't have to wait long to get your food.
The Hokkien mee was flavourful and not too soggy. Fresh prawns and ingredients. The Fried Kway Teow with clams is spot on too. The "char" taste is present with the right amount of sweet dark sauce.
Then coupled with teh tarik to end your meal is so blissfully satisfying. Give it a try if you are nearby.
