Ok where do I start? Simply put it, this is the best nasi padang muslim food in hawker centre that I have tried before. Let's start with the auntie. She quite elderly and very friendly. I think she belongs to the old school traditional cooks where food must be true and authentic. Furthermore food must be filling. Just like your grandmother feeding you making sure everyone is well fed. Because it shows in her food and portion! The dishes are nothing less of sufficient. The taste, you will know that she dont cut corners! Dishes that I always order. Rendang beef - soft, tender, saucy and hmm hmm so nice. Unlike other stores, this beef is not tough and not hard. The sauce is also thick and flavorful! Onion omelette - Thick fulfilling slices. Pan fried till a little bit brown on the outside. All different types of vegetables - cook led enough so that doesn't taste like eating grass. And balance out the richness of rendang beef. Fried chicken - Big, salty, crunchy and golden brown pieces of chicken. You can request for the thigh and drum part, or the breast and wing part. Both equally large pieces. At the end of your ordering, be sure to ask for curry gravy and sometimes auntie will give you extra curry vege F.O.C! And did I already mentioned the portion size are huge? Additional info: the tray return system requests us to pay deposit of $1. Use the timber+ app for 10% discount. This store, IMHO, 10/10

This nasi padang is good. Awesome traditional lunch choice if you are looking for local food in Timbre. Price is average, not super cheap. Very long queue at peak times, but it moves fast. Food runs out fast too.

Really good nasi padang. One of two halal food stalls in Timbre at the moment. The natives here know this is the best malay or indonesian food for miles. There are a lot of dishes available, and many nasi padang staples like sambal brinjal, coconut chicken, ladyfingers, ikan bilis. The queue is longest between 12 and 1 PM. They just got a new helper who works very fast, so food runs out fast too.

Surprised there aren't more reviews for this place, yet there are so many reviews for many other average or so-so stalls at Timbre+. I guess it doesn't need it since it already pulls all the business. Like the other reviewr said, this place is extremely popular and is a very good nasi padang stall. It serves only the lunch crowd and is closed by about 2.30 PM or so every day (week days only). By 11 AM or so, it is open for business and you will start to see queues build from 11.45 AM all the way to 1 PM. The queue is long and will go around the corner into the back / side , where there is actually no place to queue. The food is good and fresh, for example the sambal brinjal is never too wilted or overcooked. It is also very flavourful. There is a VERY wide variety for nasi padang, and looks very colourful and delicious at all times, with several trays laid out. Are they all cooked by the same lady boss? This place is popular not only with Malay customers because it is the only halal-serving stall right now, but with everyone, hence the long queues. It is a true local favourite and is worth a visit. For those that work around here, it is actually also worth coming back to over and over again.

Food is tasty. Portion is super big. Order 2 meats and 2 vegetables will definitely make you full.

The Nasi Padang served here is great and affordable! As a non-Malay, I secretly fear ordering Nasi Padang simply because I don’t know what I’m ordering (I just point at whatever looks delicious), but the lady (boss?) here is patient and friendly - absolutely no stress ordering! On a weekday lunch, this stall has one of the longer queues, but the line moves quick. If ever there are less than 5 in line, I’ll definitely join the fun. The stall is a not so hidden gem in Timbre+!

Best Affordable Nasi Padang In One North! Definitely my go to lunch! Serving is generous and the dishes are super tasty. Make sure to get the sweet sambal. Service is super efficient so don’t be scared with the long queue. This food court can be crowded during lunch so come early and chop your seat ;)
