Decided to give this a try since can't ttavel to Taiwan. The plump guy taking my orders needs to attend training on Customer service! Rude, faceless expression, speaking in a mono tone. Food wise : Signature Oyster Mee Sua - too watery. Few oysters in it. Likewise for Fried Pork chop Mee sua : watery but good serving of pork chop. Sirloin beef Cubes : small portion and overpriced @ $10.80 Taiwanese sausage and Mash : overpriced for 2 @ $5.80. Popcorn chicken : too salty and need a drink badly.

Tried their truffle fries, yan Su chicken, mee sua and drinks. Their mee sua is like very very bad. It’s worst than plain mee sua. The taste is nothing like Taiwan mee sua. Totally not recommended. You are better off buying from Shilin. Yan Su chicken is good but saltish. Drinks is good.

Went to Timbre+ on a Friday evening, the place was hot, crowded and noisy with tables mostly taken by pint-bingeing twentysomethings. Settled for 爷,and picked up their oyster meesua and Japanese Teriyaki chicken rice bowl, coupled with Chrysanthemum Wolfberries drink. Oyster meesua was salty and clumpy meesua. Really dark coloured and frankly not at all like Taiwanese meesua. Didn’t come with any chilli just vinegar. Oysters were large and juicy, I made do with just the oysters and left the carbs. Japanese style teriyaki chicken rice bowl was really just fried chicken on rice. Zero gravy. Very hard to consume. The batter on the chicken was strange, it was quite wet and ended up abandoning half the bowl. Chrysanthemum wolfberries was overly sweet and the taste was similar to packet drink. Not worth the price. Finished it only because the food was so salty. Total cost was $22 for the above. The money considered it sunk, but really regret wasting the stomach and time there. I would give timber+ and the above restaurant In its entirety a miss for famil dinner time on Friday evenings unless you are there there just to get inebriated.

Definitely not a pleasant experience for me and will not visit again. Visited on a weekend evening. Wanted a Honey Lemon Aiyu Jelly and was told it is sold out. Was recommended a Glass Jelly Fresh Milk in place and was charged $4.90. It doesn’t feel right and when I checked the menu and receipt, the menu clearly wrote that a Glass Jelly Fresh Milk is only $3.50 and the cashier put in a brown sugar milk tea order in place on my receipt. I clarified with the cashier and she told me the menu is outdated and insisted that a Fresh Milk Glass Jelly is going to be a special order for me charged at $4.90, hence denying any correction on the payment. Since the payment was by paynow, I couldn’t take back my money either. Could only sourly allow her to proceed to prepare the drink. The drink turns out to be just plain white and when I clarified again, she told me their glass jelly is not black in colour… contrary to other reviews, the drink just tasted like diluted milk to me. Just felt that the whole purchase was a scam. Menu, both at the shop and facebook, stated that the item only costed $3.50 and yet the staff insisted that it doesn’t. The end product was nothing like pictured. Most importantly, just because money was collected, I wasn’t even allowed to back out when items are no longer available nor the order is not right.

Fried Chicken Chop is good, meat is tender and the outer batter is crispy and flavourful. The portion is big. The sweet potato fries is good too, tasty and Sweet.

Should have read through the reviews before trying the food here. There are some five star ratings but these are by suspicious accounts (those with only one review). The braised pork belly mee sua was probably the worst Taiwanese mee sua that I have ever eaten - laden with MSG and not value for money at $6.50. Apparently, this the signature dish. ? Staff was also more interested in playing her mobile game instead of serving me.

⁣⚠️⚠️⚠️ ????????? ??????? ???? ???? ??? ?.?? ⁣ To be honest, this is the worst lu ruo fan I've ever had. Some examples to back up what I'm saying are: it's not good value for money, it's a small portion compared to other stalls I've visited, and there's not much flavor in it. The cucumber is the only thing I like about this dish. ⁣ ⁣ ???? ???? ??? ??? ?.??⁣ Not great

Affordable Braised Pork Rice With Bubble Tea! Great for that lu rou fan craving but definitely not the best. The braised pork could be more tender and the sauce less aromatic. At $8.30 though with bubble tea.. its a steal! Service is fast and efficient. Timbre+ can be crowded during lunch time even if there’s a ton of seats so come early to have your Lu Rou Fan fix!
