Nostalgia Hotel - 77 Tiong Bahru Rd

I am writing to express my appreciation for the quality of service and care rendered to me on during my stay at the Nostalgia Hotel from 10 -12 March 2021. It was a good decision; I enjoyed the peace and quiet I needed, offered in all the facilities of your hotel. The excellent service of the staffs Zubaidah, Masrine and Toni has definitely made my stay comfortable. I will definitely recommend your hotel to friends and family, and I’m sure I’ll be back for another staycation. Thanks again, see you soon.

This place basically has more private apartments, and some older houses are very flavour.There are some cafes nearby, which is a relaxing place. The most important thing is that there are TOTO shopping nearby! Enjoy :D

Really enjoyed our one night stay here. The staff are so friendly and helpful and made us feel so welcome as soon as we arrived. The room was clean and very comfortable. The bedding was lovely! We also used the pool area which was nice to sit and relax at and have a dip in the pool. We hadn't spent much time in this area of Sg so it was a great location to stay at to do the heritage trail and visit the market. It is a really great place to stay. Thank you to all the staff.

Hotel staff were professional and polite. As of Jun 2021, parts of the hotel are under renovation, including the lobby, swimming pool, and restaurant. Room was clean and comfortable, toilet was wheelchair friendly and had good shower with hot water. However, there were quite a few things that could be improved, considering this is listed as a boutique hotel. There were two potential safety issues: 1) the drainage in the toilet was not great and every time the shower is used, the toilet floor in front of the sink floods and may cause slips, 2) the bed is on wheels and rolls very easily, and guests may fall if they sit on the bed too fast and it rolls out of the way. Warning should be given that the bed is mobile. Finally, the room we were given was also quite small and odd shaped, with a window looking out on a back alley where people were smoking. The TV was at a strange angle from the bed, and could not be adjusted, making for awkward viewing.

The hotel is well located with a number of great dining options in close proximity. The staff are friendly and the room was clean. We reserved a balcony room thinking that it would be great to sit out and enjoy the extra space and the view. Unfortunately, while there are signs in the rooms which warn of a $200 charge for smoking in the room, at no point were we made aware that it was perfectly acceptable for the guests in the room next door to smoke us out of our room in the middle of the night. Hotel management should post a warning on their website alerting potential guests to the fact that smoke filters freely into adjoining rooms. Non-smokers beware.

Had a great staycation here. The room was cosy. The staff were very helpful and tried their best to accommodate my dad who had some difficulty walking. Best thing about the place is it's location, so near to so many eateries.

Got a small windowless room and the room feels gloomy. The room's fridge is leaking water internally. Bed is decent. Front Desk guy is snappy and no smile at all. Didn't feel welcome. Signage in room say if smoking or durian smell, cleaning fee is $200 but front desk says it's $300 when checking in. If it's a update in policy, update the signages. Else where is the extra $100 going? Luckily is paid mostly using SRV. Will not be back anytime soon.

Make sure you get a room with a window, small rooms, strong showers and fast wifi, good budget accommodation in nice area with good restaurants near by
