Ong of the good black bean steam fish in S’pore. Did not have chance to take photo of the stall front. As we were ordering many other different food, steam fish and fried bitter gourd omelette were what we could stomach. The fish head is very fresh and you could asked Aunty to add more green cut chillis if you want have more spiciness. The sauce is very different taste compared with the other steam fish stalls. $15 for half the head is definitely affordable.

Checked out this stall inside Dunman hawker centre serving authentic Cantonese cuisine. Understand that the owner was originated from Hongkong. Seems like their specialties dish is the steamed song fish head. Interestingly, one stall away, there is another stall serving almost similar dishes. We are not really big fans of steamed fishhead, therefore we ordered other dishes available on their menu. We ordered the steam chicken with mushroom in fermented bean sauce( SGD$6), onion Omelette( SGD$4) and sambal sweet potato leaves (SGD$5). This meal only cost us $16.50, which is quite hard to find these days. Portion wasn’t small to be honest. Of all 3 dishes, I personally think that the chicken dish was the best, meat was tender and well marinated. Would definitely come back again to savor their other dishes.

So satisfied with dinner from this unassuming stall called OK zichar. Seabass so fresh, everything done right. 5 star standard food at hawker price ?

Affordable HK style fish the char. The fish was only $30! Of course the taste has been adapted for the Singaporean palate (with the chilli to give it the kick) but it is an unassuming place that serves great food.

Really good steam fish head. Big portions and fresh too. Lovely place. Must try!

Main dishes are fish, and mostly steam dishes. Simple and good. Reasonable price.

The Steam Fish Head is the best compared to many others, their steam pork mince with salted fish is also another favourite dish not to be missed. Price is very reasonable, quality of food is good.

Homely, comforting fare. Stall owners are very friendly and happy to chat. Fish was nicely and simply executed.
