★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My experience in this stall was rather baffling and messy. It's funny actually cause I never got an experience like this before.
Okay, so to start off, I placed my order to the cashier-in-charge, which is "Roasted Chicken rice (wing section) and an egg". However, the cashier insisted on the drumstick section which costs $0.50 more than the wing. This miscommunication of some sort did not occur once, but 3 times. That meant I repeated wanting the wing section three times, but I still placed the order for drumstick. I then just said in my mind, "Ok, I guess I can eat their chicken drumstick today instead".
Next, I sat down and waited for my order. Strangely, it took much longer than I expected to get a plate of chicken rice and egg until they call out to me and questioned out whether I have gotten my food or not. I was internally shocked to hear that question, but I kept my cool anyway.
They then proceeded to provide me the food and I realized that they gave no egg, they gave white chicken instead of roasted chicken, and most importantly, their chicken was BREASTED and not a drumstick.
So here is the price comparison between what I got, what I wanted, and what I paid:
What I got: $3.90 (breast)
What I wanted: $4.30 (wing) + $0.70 (egg) = $5.00
How much I paid: $4.80 (drumstick) + $0.70 (egg) = $5.50
Are you telling me I got a $3.90 plate when I paid $5.50? That is a new experience for me and was a very disappointing one. Please try to up your game, 'Ok Chicken Rice'.
(Don't have images cause it came to my mind to write this review after eating)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The upsize option of half an egg, half a taukwa and a few strands of vegetables for $2 isn’t worth it.
I paid $8 for a portion of chicken rice, which includes upsize as mentioned above and a chicken wing, quantity isn’t great.
Taste wise is passable, as with most of the chicken rice stalls out there.
Would rather top up a little more and head next door for the Japanese tonkatsu which serves excellent quality food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My second time trying okchickenrice, definitely better than the first. Their steam chicken is tender and flavorful. The rice is fragrant too. S$3.90 ( with S$1 off using their coupon). ? They are hala certified. Their roast chicken is dry though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had on their menu the “standard” steamed chicken rice. All in all taste is good factoring it’s Halal certified. Pricing could be more competitive to get more volume - maybe a “budget” dish item would be great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ordered via Food Panda one small steamed chicken rice and one steamed chicken porridge—$5.50 for each.
To be honest, I was not expecting much because of the restaurant’s name ? and because I’ve tried every chicken rice shop available on Food Panda and they’ve all been consistently bad lately. The worst offenders were sugary sweet chilli sauce, mushy chicken and dry flavourless rice. Ok Chicken Rice dodged all those bullets: The chilli sauce was wonderfully savoury, the chicken was plump and perfectly cooked, and the rice as well as the porridge were really tasty!
There was even the bonus option of getting ginger sauce (50 cents). Sure, ginger sauce should automatically come with chicken rice but, honestly, most shops don’t even MAKE ginger sauce anymore.
I guess I will agree with others who said the portions were on the small side—but not more so than any other place.
Will def order from Ok Chicken Rice again!
