Old Airport Rd Wanton Noodle - 504 Yishun St 51

Shop closes very early ~7pm on weekdays and breaks for lunch with no service until 2.30pm. Food is nice and yummy but very disappointed by the service times. I hope they can improve.

The store sells traditional wantan noodle, i.e. wantan has no prawn but serve char siew (roasted pork) and fried wantan. The noodle is nice. The foods are above average.

Rather expensive for a neighborhood food court. This is $5. The $4 option was black out and not for sales. Char siew was tasteless and hard. The reviews for the other branches were equally poor. I doubt the shop will survive long. The other stall Tian chuang has more customers.

I feel the previous reviews were not very fair to the stall so wanted to share my own experience. Taste: Wantons (both fried and soup) were pretty solid. They were generous with the filling and the meat was springy and well-marinated but not overly salty. Think they used more lean mince meat. Noodles were okayish. Springy but for some reason, looked mushy. I ordered the signature noodles with chilli and the seasoning was okay though it was slightly too peppery for my liking. Will order with black sauce to try next time. Char siew was generous. Not the best but good enough. Mix of fatty and lean parts. Soup was pretty good. Price: $5 is expensive for neighbourhood coffeeshop but the serving (both noodles and ingredients) is generous. Comes with 5 solid wantons. Can’t complain. Usually at those coffeeshop stalls that sell at $3 ish, I’ll need to add noodles/ingredients to feel satisfied. Works out about the same honestly or just very slightly more expensive. Service: Average but a bit slow. But honestly I rather get a properly cooked bowl of noodles than have them rush it through.
