★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very comforting bowl of wonton noodles, recently moved from Bukit Timah market to Bukit Batok Kopitiam. Springy, flavourful noodles, tasty wonton with thin skin.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been buying the black sauce wanton mee from here for some time. At first it was good (easily 4 stars) with well balanced tastes and enough sauce to match the "additional noodles" that I ask for. Char siew quality varied but we got a good amount of green vegetables. Then COVID came along and it was all takeway. Don't know why but quality dropped substantially. Not enough sauce, the noodles were undercooked and just a single small stalk of vegetable. Thought it might have been a bad day and tried again a few days later. Just as bad if not worse and the guy was quite unfriendly. Granted it's a one man show so maybe overworked, but really sad that his quality dropped so much.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I first saw the bright black and yellow signboard stating 'Old Airport Rd Wanton Noodle' in Bukit Timah Food Centre..I was a bit skeptical
Is it trying to ride on the popularity of the more famous stalls at Old Airport Rd?
Stood around the stall and have a look near lunch time.. no crowd...just a lady with kid in tow ordering two bowls of dry wanton noodle
Looks not too bad...decided to give it a try
The price is not on the low end...$4.50 a bowl
And stall helmed by two youngsters
Taste was not too bad...just noodles lacking a bit of experienced cooking of drenching in hot and cold water to cook and halt cooking respectively
It was still a bit on the overcooked side...
Additional star given to support seeing more local youngsters taking up the hawker trade

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A rather good bowl of wanton mee, only grouse is the chilli is just plain spicy but lacks depth. Char Siew is well roasted and tasty despite the colouring.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ the noodle is too thin and not to my liking. It is also abit too dry with not enough sauce. The char Siew is nice and wanton is ok with a mixed of fried and boiled.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Noodles are the slim kind. Cooked nicely. Chilli a bit punchy but good. Char siew a little charred taste. Wonton are generous with the meat and has a tiny bit of flat fish in it. That was the best part

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not bad at all. One of the best wanton noodles. They have 2 types. One plain and the other with black sauce which I prefer. It's more Malaysian style as compared to the plain Singapore version.
The textures were very good. The noodles were better than most and has that Al Dente style which usually separates good wanton from ordinary.
The fried and boiled wantons we surprisingly good. The soup was just ordinary and blend. The Char Siew was pretty normal and not much fat which could have been a game changer for 5 stars.
Nonetheless, worth every penny and maybe worth the travel if you're ever in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dec 2021. Want to quickly get out of the house because of a grumpy family member. Decided to have a hair cut and eat something.
Found a parking lot and an empty table near this stall in a busy Sunday afternoon, it seemed this stall was beckoning me.
The noodle crisp was done right, the chilli was good, both fried and boiled 云吞 were generous and plump. At$4.50, it was well worthwhile.
The only minus was the char siew, too tough and orange bright.
Strangely, i felt the 1 man stall vendor was only an employee, he was expressionless and didn't look like a passionate business owner.
Wonder if this was another franchise.
