The worst porridge I have ever tasted. Do not be misled by the queue forming outside their stall. The queue is a result of the china auntie taking a very long time to cook. The porridge is laden with MSG and tastes so salty you can get heart attack from it.

Was originally attracted by the you tiao which was the highlight. Meal was acceptable at $3.00 but just hate using the plastic disposable spoon for my morning congee. You can upgrade your congee with a side order of raw fish or dried chilly frog

Rarely do I give a 1 star rating but with the owner’s attitude towards his customer and standard of food hygiene, I would say 1 star is well deserved. The foreign-couple owner started giving me a fierce lesson on cost of spring onion when i asked some extra. Youtiao, which was supposed to be complementary, was a never-ask-never-get. The raw meats, fish and century egg slices were stored openly in plastic containers on the table at room temperature, I was a little worried how much microorganisms would have grown at such temperature and environment, enough ‘heat can kill them all’ couldn’t convince me.

The kekou mian is good for its price ($3.20), and it doesnt have as much MSG as the bukit panjang kekou mian. If you just want a simple soup based noodle dish this isn't a bad choice. I didn't have stomachache after eating so no problems on the hygiene! My parents frequently buy the porridge from this stall. The youtiao is usually crunchy and warm. There used to be a young boy who was helping out but he's probably studying. The uncle looks kinda tired. Maybe he's having troubles on his own so I can't be critical about his service.

Surprisingly yummy porridge! Very flavourful and came with lots of ingredients haha. Also, this porridge was more on the thin side, not the thick gooey type, but I guess that’s more of a personal preference. The only downside was that we ordered Pig Organ’s Porridge but there was only pig liver ? also the pig liver was hard by the time I brought it home - would be great if they cooked the liver for a shorter time for takeaway orders!

Flavorful, piping hot and smooth. A true gem tucked away at the back of Bukit timah food center. And they also offer a wide review of choices from fish to chicken pork and even frog!

Unfortunately quality have depreciated since I last visited a year ago, so sad that it's been my regular place for porridge for the past 6-7 years. Instead of the usual gooey porridge they usually serve, the porridge today is watery and basically can chew on the rice so basically soaked rice. Flavour is still okay but the texture is no longer there. Sad that hawker quality depreciate. The owner uncle attitude is grumpy as usual. ?

I’ve been having their porridge for quite some time, and it is one of the most savory porridge i’ve had. I’ve no idea why their rating is so low ? The elderly couple comes from China and can’t really speak English. But their attitude is good, and even checked with me if the liver is cooked enough for my liking. They also toast their youtiao before serving it to us! Unit number #02-121
