One Star Braised Duck . Kway Chap - 56 New Upper Changi Rd

New stall just opened. As the name suggested, the kway chap really one star, not Michelin but Google Maps. The innards were not well braised and intestines were rubbery. Just half an hour more braising would have made the difference. Duck was tender but not braised well also cos it's the sauce that made it tasty. Even the sauce over the duck was cold! Lunch was so bad I was moody whole day. But I gave them total 3 out of 5 stars cos I gave 2 stars for the kway as it was decent and I didn't get to try the duck rice yet, which may be their signature? Love the sambal cos they made with Ikan Bilis bits inside. Additional 1 more star is for the economical sets they have for the neighbouring customers. Set for 2 pax was only $9.50. Minus the duck add on of $4. Total damage was $13.50. Not ex. Try to know ya! ?

New stall, there haven't been one selling braised duck for a while. Fragrant braised rice and tender breast meat. Got ikan bilis in their sambal chilli. Reasonable price and generous, gave the whole piece of tau kwa when you order it.
