Happened to be at City Square Mall, and looking for noodles. Nothing Extraordinary. Portions really small for the price paid. No sotong. Would not purchase again.

Happen to be in the vicinity of City Square mall and decided to pop by this coffeeshop which was about a 5mins walk away. As I was reaching the place, I can already smell the smokiness from the frying of the hokkien mee. Price for a plate of Hokkien mee starts from SGD$5 onwards, for takeaway, its an additional SGD$1. Portion wise, I think its just fine. The hokkien mee comes with the standard ingredient like pork belly, prawn, and squid. Over here, they used the thin vermicelli. Taste wise, unlike from most of the comments, I personally think that the hokkien mee is not bad. There is wok taste to it, and I think it not too dry nor too wet, just the right consistency. Apart from that, it was quite flavorful, and I would strongly recommend this to people.

A hidden gem! It is one of the best hokkien mee in sg. The noodle is between the wet and dry style so fans of either one would love it. Flavourwise, its sufficient such that it doesnt overwhelm your palate. Chilli is not too spicy that it covers the taste of the noodles. Overall a perfectly balance plate of hokkien mee that is ideal after a long day at work. Hot tip: buy some take away for your lunch or dinner the next. Heat it up by stirfrying it with abit of water and the noodles will be perfect to go. Sincerly hope that the uncle would not retire soon

Not bad, but I cant give a 5star quality, still lack the punch of the seafood taste we wan from a HKM. Perhaps I prefer more wet type, dun get me wrong I also hv my favourite not that wet HKM. I hv not come to this stall for many years probably its was very busy all the time, I nv hv craving for their HKM, last nite was just fast n smooth. Overall still not bad...

Arrived on the dot at 430pm to be warmly welcomed by 4 elderly uncle and aunty as they were preparing to start their day. First customer and first serving of the evening. $5 kinda of for a small dine-in serving. Serving arrived looking deep colored, rich and wet. Doesn't looks to be laced with many ingredients. Some digging reveals 2 small shrimps, plenty of sotong and actually lots of eggs and pork cooked down into small fragments clinging onto the yellow noodle. Oh... and plenty plenty of garlic. Although a darker hue, it isn't a strong flavourful prawn soup stock being used. Would be a huge plus had they used charcoal to fry this up too. The sambal aided to make the noodle just marginally better. Unfortunately not old enough to know if this is how the old school hokkien mee taste is supposed to be.

The noodles is flavorful... But the noodles are all precooked. Then later just made warm and serve. They do not fry on the spot. Because I think the coffee shop does not have an exhaust system. Or any ventilation of that sort... So they cannot cook per plate... So they just cook everything one shot. Then slowly sell... But it is not tat they have a que and the noodles get sold off immediately. Came on a Wednesday afternoon. The noodles already very soggy like cooked an hour before hand.... Then just warm over fire.. for 10+ seconds.. And served in a minute... No pork Lard... No wok Hei.. Noodles came warm.. not hot $5 for a plate. I don't quite think is worth it. Some more... I just saw it is rank top 10 hokkien prawn noodle in SG...

Best focking hokkien mee i have ever tasted. Slightly ex at $5/6 but the portion is large. For reference i am a 21 yo growing child. If you like wet hokkien mee this is the golden standard. Only gripe is that there arent that many ingredients…

The standard of the noodles has really dropped and the prices up. 4 prawns in a medium plate for $10.00. Palatable but just so. Not as delicious as before although we were ravenous. Service was nearly immediate. Same for the hor fun at the same coffeeshop. No more wok hei and the prawns were not fresh. No wait required. $ 7 for a medium portion
