Best pedicure I've ever had.

I don't ever write reviews but with this experience, I feel like I had to write my first. I needed to replace my old nail extensions asap, saw some good reviews for this place and went for it. I did gel extensions (I've always done so in other salons), they had a full extension or a "tip" extension. I asked which was more durable and was answered by the staff that both were OK. I decided to go for the full nail extensions. The overall experience wasn't that great. Alcohol solution was used to soak off my previous extensions, my skin was left soaking in it for a considerably long time while the staff worked on each nail individually. After which, there was lots of filing (normal procedure) but at some points the staff was filing on my skin (again, bound to happen and I'm used to it). BUT when this happens continuously after soaking in alcohol and water several times, the skin around my cuticle is left paper thin. One of my fingers started to sting when alcohol was applied again. The horror has yet to begin. I left the salon at about 7pm and reached home to realize that one of the nail was not glued on properly. That very night, IT BROKE. Fine, I will go back tomorrow to fix it. The next morning, another nail came off. This time I walked in and told the staff of the situation. It was met with nonchalance from one of the staff. There was no real care as to how or why it happened. Instead, I was told along the lines of "sometimes the nails can come off if it touches water". Am I not supposed to wash my hands after getting a manicure? This is one of the most ridiculous thing I have heard. They would not offer a refund because they "don't do refunds" but are willing to fix my nails. I was very reluctant to get my nails re-done by them but I had no choice. I also asked for a change of nail color (the least they could do), but was refused. Until a 3rd staff caught wind, and actually bothered to listen to me, and agreed to the nail color change. I did not get her name, but she was the only one who listened. I ended up getting the half tip extensions. This experience has been more than traumatizing as once again my fingers are subjected to the alcohol soak and filing. My nails are now left too thin and yet a half tip was used without any hard gel to strengthen them. As I am typing now, I can feel my nails bending away at the half mark. I appreciate the effort made by the staff who did my nails, but perhaps the experience or technical skills/tools are not the best. I have spent $120 for an experience that I wished I never had. I will not frequent again.
