Hidden from crowded city. Great small town vibe. Very special fried kueh tiao. Traditional teochew steam fish. Hot OhPutt dessert. Price and size is very reasonable compare to any other franchise big brand restaurant.

Funny that I’ve never been here despite living in the neighbourhood for 30+ years. Since it’s my 1st visit, we try to order more teochew classics - ζΆ·θ†θŸΉ, 桷參鴨,θ ”η…Ž,scallops yam ring and a dish I’ve never had before - cripsy deep fried chye por kuay Teow and some stir fried broccoli to top up sulforaphane levels. In general, the dishes taste homely, no heavy seasoning which is suitable for everyday meals and is appropriate given its residential location). Unfortunately, I wouldn’t say that there’s any stand out although the yam ring is quite well made (not easy to find at their price point). The 桷參鴨 is not the herbaceous kind so it’s good to note; sea cucumber servings were generous. I wouldn’t come here specially for cold crab but as a appetiser it’s pretty value for money (~$7-8/100g). Will have the stir fry version of the Chye por kuay Teow next time - the crispy version is more apt as a beer snack, gotta taste the chef’s wokhey skills. To conclude, as a neighbourhood restaurant, I think if you live in the neughabourhood, you should frequent this place, at least for its takeaway tzechar (I will follow up on this)…

They were awfully crowded therefore service wasn't great. I had to get my chilli & belacan as the servers were busy with other tables. It was drizzling after a downpour & the table we were seated cld still get a lil wet from the drizzle, however the owner was nice to apologize. The food we had was fantastic.

Went for dinner on Sat. Place is almost full. This restaurant is tucked away from the main road. Staffs are attentive and friendly. Served one of best teochew style food.

Was here on a busy Sunday for dinner with my family. It was a full house but we managed to get a table for 3 of us. Ordered the steamed pomfret, yam ring with sweet sour pork and sea cucumber. Excellent service and taste of the food. Eating here brings back fond memories. Tip: if you’re sitting outside, watch out for mosquitoes or spray some repellent.

Have eaten here multiple times but always love the homely vibe and warm service :) tried their limited availability spring roll chock full of chives, minced meat and prawn - so delicious! Recommended was also the fried small prawns with curry leaves which was also a hit. Cold crab is always the bomb here - look at that solid meat and roe! Oyster omelette was also good. Other things I've tried other times was their braised duck with tofu - really good.
