PG 416 Coffee House - 416 Pandan Gardens

Good selection of food in a smallish coffee shop.

Only 5 food stalls here with quite the standard coffeeshop spread. Food offered r decent actually. No Muslim food though. Not many seats but usually not that crowded.

Simple corner shop, only few stalls. Relatively clean. Noodles - $2.50, quality - nice! Surprisingly nice, sauce and soup just kicked my tastebuds. Coffee drinkable, car park lots plenty. Wheelchair accessible from car park. Wonder how they make money. PG416, likely privately owned coffeeshop.

The fish ball noodles stall has been in operation for at least 40 years. The portion is more than usual for the price of $2.50. The laksa is equally good and worth trying.

Best eat and go place in the area if Chinese food is all the family wants. The Zi-char stall serves restaurant standard dishes at restaurant prices. The famous fishball noodles stall is a must-try. The economy rice stall is a safe bet. But it is the Chinese soup and BBQ meat stall that you shouldn't miss.

The 5 stars is for Pandan Gardens Fishball Noodles (PGFN). I find its dry sauce is very matching with its white/flat noodles whereby its a harmony of taste between the various ingredients. I started eating it about 6 years ago and I'm willing to travel from North East all the way just to have it. Its other branches though may use the same sauces but I find them different as compared to the original. Anyway this coffeeshop has a wide variety of food too. The prata in the morning, cheap chicken rice and sze char for the lunch and dinner. If you fancy drinking beer while eating ribs, you can also go next door to Ministry of Ribs. Nuff said.

Had very bad experience with the lady at drinks stall. This is already the second time! The first was last year, sometime in Oct 2021. She didn’t want to take my order nor serve me just because she said she is counting her cash in the cash register. (Rolled eyes). I stop going there for coffee since then. Today, I wanted coffee badly, so decided to give her a second chance. While counting the coins to pay for my drink, she commented sarcastically “you count slowly la (in Mandarin)”. I left the coins for my drink at the counter, took my cup of coffee and walked off without saying “Thank you”! There was no customers after me. Not like I’m in her way in serving other customers! Just can’t understand why such customers service standard. Unless she’s the boss of the coffeeshop… My colleagues have ban that stall, and here I am trying to give her a second chance. DON’T DESERVE!!!

On 1st Apr 2022, came here for lunch and had the zhap cai peng.. $4.90 and had lemon chicken, egg, and veg.. not too bad.. except the inside floor area is quite tight
