The WORST experience in hair cut by the so-called Director’-Tino. 1. Made Appointment at 4pm, he was doing another customer when I arrived, it took him 1 hour and 15 mins to come to do my hair cut at 5:15’, I had to postpone my next 6pm appointment. (Professional manner?) Not even a word to apologise from this Tino! 2. After started cutting without asking a word, just a few mins later, he walked away again to do other hair cut and had me waited again! 3. His sloppy attitude in cutting without asking what a customer’s need,, nor did he bother to check the shape of the face (round, oval for suitable hair styles…etc) since I was masked. That was my first visit for his Director’s cut., I asked, yet this Tino said no need because he is experienced enough to know what to cut without checking (proud and arrogant!) Boasted his training in UK (so what? Decades ago!) His skill is not updated, that was what I realised later. 4. I required to keep the length which he totally ignored too, used RAZOR to layer my hair, so short, so much that it was imbalanced - thick on top and so thin at the bottom, the worse is- after wash, I realised the bottom became so frizzy and hard to manage! That was the worse hair cut of my life! Director’s rate -$93 hair cut, worse than any other hair stylists I’ve ever visited. A person may be successful in the past , the past does not need to lead to arrogance and negligence in the work and work attitudes. Unfortunately, this Tino is., sad to see one who think he is so good (in the past) and provided such inferior quality of service, Customer was there because of trust, after this experience with Tino, trust is completely shattered. Both photos provided - the first was after I waited for an hour, second photo was when he walked away to cut another hair after kept me waited for 1 hr and 15 mins, after just few mins of cut for me.

Great experience with Joel Park. The hair cut that he did earned me many compliments from friends and family. I look fresher and younger instantly with the refreshed look ??. The K treatment that I did absolutely saved my crispy and dried hair! It’s silky smooth now and I love it !!

Did my latest haircut with Joel Park and I think I have never received more compliments in my life! He managed to grasp my style and perfected it to suit me totally. I have already recommended him to family and friends! Definitely my stylist to go to in the future:)

Never came out of a hair salon feeling this bad. I literally wanted to cry when I saw my hair in the mirror and paid $580 for this treatment. The service was done with Joel Park. To be fair, my hair was damaged due to previous digital perm and colouring so I understand it will be quite dry. But as a professional, if he knew it was going to be this bad, he should have not done this. Maybe it was a language issue, but he answered that "can do" when I asked "is it really okay to perm today? I'm worried that it might be too dry." Partially I blame myself because I was getting really bad vibe from the initial conversation where he really didn't listen to me and the fact that there are like 10 staffs in the salon and a half of them are just sitting and eating and chatting loudly so I was thinking I should leave but I didn't because of all the good reviews I had read. Salon could have a bad vibe, but a stylist can be good. During the service, I just kept praying that this result will be good despite the bad service and unfriendliness of the stylist. But my initial fear was proven to be right. I had researched a lot before choosing the stylist since my regular Japanese hair stylist was out of Singapore. I cannot believe all the good reviews and the fact that he teaches other stylists. Sorry to be honest, but this was the worst hair experience of my life.

Joel Park has always been my preferred hairstylist and I have been engaging his hair services (haircut, c curl perms, volume rebonding etc.) for many years since 2016. He is very experienced, professional and always able to deliver what I want (very nice and sleek hairstyle). He is really very good in this hairstyling services field. Thanks Joel!!

Noticed most of the reviews were on Joel Park. What about other good hairstylists in this same salon? There are 'hidden gems' in this salon and one of them is Esther - my all time favorite hairstylist for over 10 years. She is a gem who is unassuming, patient and accommodating! She is good with hair cuts and if you have hard to manage fine hair like mine, look for her. She will not disappoint you!

Joel Park managed to salvage a bad perm, whereby the top was way to flat (rebond) and bottom curls messy- the eventual outcome was what i envisioned. Picture attached may not do justice as this was a salvage job- but i was very thankful. Most importantly, hair texture was good after salvage.

Joel Park has been my hairdresser for the past year, for services like hair trim, dye and perm. the price may be higher than neighborhood salons but it is well worth. if undecided, he (also) provides good hair suggestions that i have grown to trust. i am happy seeing my hair grow and style well with him. he is my go-to :)
