The chicken is really good. Crispy and smashed well. Tender and juicy.
The sambal is excellent. Not too spicy well balanced and flavorful.
Cabbage and cucumber thinly sliced.
The rice however can be improved.
Look forward to patronise this stall again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chicken is well-done but re-fried. Rice is fragrant, similar to hainanese chicken rice, and with turmeric flavour (maybe because of the fried chicken) but quite oily.
Giving one star because it is strictly speaking, Malay fried chicken rice rather than Ayam Penyek. There is no tauhu, no tempe, just few slices of cucumber and a paltry amount of rice.
Will give 4 stars if reclassified as Malay chicken rice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love love their rice, chicken, crumbs and both types of chili! Appreciate Abang to specially re-fry and heat up the meat before serving. Don’t feel thirsty after eating it, so don’t think there’s MSG.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The black pomfret was nicely fried, very crispy outside & soft inside, with the self-served extra spicy sambal sauce, this is one of the best penyet! They serve with flavored rice which tasted like chicken rice, but I think plain white rice would be more suitable to eat with the sambal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chicken breasts were fried to perfection, crispy batter with fragrant meat. Generous serving of sambal, flavourful and with kick. Overall a great plate of piping hot ayam penyet. Saw many other penyet stalls, ABC is a penyet hot bed!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I say Chicken Fried Rice, this is what I mean! Project Penyek by Ansar never disappoints. Love every bits of their generously portion food, esp the sambal that has a kick in your mouth, once you taste it. One of the best hawker food, recommended! ❤?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Both Ayam and Ikan Penyet were good. The chilli was extremely powerful but yet very addictive. Would be perfect if there was tahu and/or tempeh. Sellers were polite. E-payment available.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Happened to near ABC bricksworks hawker centre and decided to check this well known ayam penyet stalls there. Apart from ayam penyet, they also have ikan penyet with prices from SGD$5.50 onwards. It came with a bowl of soup, 1 smashed fried chicken and some lettuce and cucumber.
Honestly speaking, the food was rather dissapointting. Chicken was over fried as a result it was super dry. Apart from that, taste wise, it needs more seasoning. The only thing that i like was the rice, it taste similiar to the the rice from chicken rice. Chili was quite spicy as well.
