I was introduced to him by a mutual friend when I began to experience abdominal pain and other stomach problems. The sensitive issues of bowel and colon health are often enough to keep me away from voluntarily seeking the advice and care of a gastroenterologist. My circumstances required that I overcome my fears in favor of a more reasoned and rational acknowledgement of the problems that I faced. It was because of his kind and gentle care that I was able to face the medical studies and tests necessary to determine the cause of my problems. He was reassuring throughout the entire process. His confident skill and excellent care cannot be overstated. I consider my experiences with Dr Tan to be far better than most of my many medical encounters over the last 60 plus years.
