Q & M Dental Surgery (Towner) - 102 Towner Rd

Went for a regular polishing and scaling. It was my first time visiting since i figured it was better not to commute far during this covid situation. The male dentist showed me a picture of a tooth with a small decay. I was ok to proceed with the filling and it was done by Dr Russel at the Towner Branch. After the filling, the tooth became very sensitive to cold and hot food and drinks. I could not even chew on the jaw where the filling is. This pain persisted for almost 2 months until I had to go another Dentist to check the filling. It was not infection but according the second dentist, the drilling has gone too deep until it is quite near the nerve and causing the pain and sensitivity. I was shown an X-ray of my tooth and saw it was near the nerve. Upon the advice and recommendation by second dentist I changed the filling material into a softer type. The other alternative was to have root canal if this softer material does not work. I questioned the skill of the dentist at the QM dental at Towner branch. What seemed like a regular filling turned into a nightmare that killed my tooth. My tooth is better with lesser sensitivity but still unable to return to normal chewing. Over time the pain and sensitivity will worsen. Then I may have to consider root canal. Really really bad experience! Avoid there folks!

My go-to clinic for regular check-ups and cleaning, until one incident. I had a cavity in one of my teeth, large enough that it was very obvious by just using my tongue to feel it and also by shining a torch light over. I booked a session and guess what, dentist said she couldn't see the cavity to recommended to take an x-ray. Fair enough, x-ray taken and she said nothing wrong with my tooth, but there's problem in another tooth that requires filling. I agreed to it and the she proceeded to drill and fill up my tooth. End of the session, she warned me that there is a chance the bacteria has reached too deep and if there is still pain after few weeks then come back to see her. Worst case have to do a root canal, she even listed down the prices. I thought something was wrong and immediately booked an appointment with another dentist who has his own private practice, he immediately identified the large cavity and proceeded to do filling for me. I never went back to Q&M afterwards. Forward to a few months later, I noticed that the filling done by the Q&M doctor has been sensitive for too long, so I booked another appointment with the more trusted dentist and he said there is something wrong with the alignment of the filling. An x-ray was taken of the teeth and guess what, turns out the filling wasn't done properly as there was a gap between the filling and the teeth, the decay was still there. I had the old filling removed and new one put it. This was the last straw. My initial trip to Q&M had been a complete waste of time and money. I would recommend people not to consider Q&M clinics for their dental care, or at least not this branch. Similar to doctors, try to find dentists who open private practices so that you can be assured that procedures and follow-ups are always done by the same dentist.

The staff is very understanding and the treatment is even great.

Attended Q&M few occasions but never felt submitting a review.But today attended by Dr Mervin Phng and am really obliged to praise Dr as he is real humble , kind and good in his professional capacity on top of being honest and in his approach and diagnosis compared to a different clinic i attended just 3 days ago for the SAME procedure ...which was treated just too casually !! Oh not forgetting this NEW batch of clinic staff are praiseworthy....no doubt.

I had a wonderful experience at Q&M Towner! The Dr Amy Chang is very gentle, caring and professional. She always updates the surgery processs and it makes me feel safe and comfortable. Thank you!! Special thanks to the friendly clinic staff too! Staffs were helpful and cheerful which helps with my nervousness. Receptionist were very welcoming!! Highly recommend for this branch!!!

My mom got cheated from this clinic today! Informed her that she needs to do filling and it's only 50 after govt rebate (chas) ended up paying 79.60... They told her there are gst and consumables to be paid. These were all not informed in advanced! Receipts shows most items are under 'chas'! Update: reached out to the clinic and they replied after investigation, apologizing for 'unclear' communications and promised to remind their staffs to be clearer in future.

Went to do a supervised ART as it was near my home. Appointment was at 6pm. I arrived 10 mins before the appointed time but was told to come back at 8pm because they were having dinner, even though I told them my appointment was at 6pm. And yes, I could see 3 of the staff all having dinner at the same time at the counter, nevermind safe distancing. Staff was not polite and couldn't care less. If you do not want to provide such a service, please don't offer it in the first place. A total disregard to the government's policies for the mandatory COVID testing and SMM. Such a disappointment. At least the Indian lady who supervised my ART test was good though.

I went in feeling stressful and fearful but bcoz was feeling more painful from my toothache, I walked in. And I am so glad and thankful that I did. Special mention of Dr William's great skill and professionalism: consultation, x-ray and extraction within 20 min and no pain! Also like to commend the very nice admin lady who helped me with registration and Dr William's assistant. Thank you, Dr William and team and I thank God for sending all of you to help me. Feeling blissful now!
