Tasty old school lontong, mee rebus, nasi lemak and mee soto that worth queuing for. If you like, can order begedil and chicken wing to go with your meal.

One of the better Nasi Lemak I have tried in Singapore. The taste reminds me of Changi V nasi lemak in the old days. Reasonably priced at $3 as well. Hidden gem.

I have been hearing about their Kueh Jongkong since few years ago but didn't get to try it yet. Thinking that the market will be demolished soon, I decided to go check it out last Friday, but they were closed. Seems like they are usually closed during fasting month. So, I message the number listed and found out they will be open today, Tue 4 May. So the day before I msg again and she said today will be the last day they are selling kueh jongkong for Ramadhan mth! I arrived just before 10am and already seeing buckets and trays of kueh jongkong! So exciting! Placed my order at about 10am and waited for a bit while they are steamed. The smell of the banana leaves after steaming is just wonderful! Brought them home while still warm. One of the lady at the stall said if you keep in the fridge can last up to 1 week. The kueh tastes really yummy! The batter is soft, the gula melaka and coconut milk mix are sweet but not overly sweet, and the banana leaf aroma is just amazing! Worth waiting for ?

During this fasting month, they stopped selling Mee rebus, lontong and other regular savory dishes. Instead, I discovered a new Malay dessert, jongkong (not sure of its spelling). A pandan flavored custard in gula melaka wrapped in banana leaf. It was still warm when I had it. Mild pandan flavor which is enriched with gula melaka. Not a familiar sight. Interesting to try. I would wish that the gula melaka was richer.

Taste nicer than average, the gravy is slightly watery. The added chillin makes it make fragrance and spicy. Portion is just right for $3. However the fried chicken is dry

Mee Rebus not bad but towards sweeter side. Lontong was not warm enough.

Previously avoided this stall due to hygiene reasons. Finally gave it a try today because I saw that all staff were masked up. The lontong had an unusual fragrance, probably from the unidentifiable dark-coloured stuff in the gravy. Overall good bowl of lontong but not the best. The tempeh had a weird taste though. Staff were friendly but e-payment was not available.

found this hidden gem and ordered mee soto and mee rebus. apologies for not allowing my camera to eat first as wasn't expecting much but was i so wrong! mee rebus was so good with rich flavourful gravy. mee soto had a dash of mee rebus gravy together with stock soup. please don't judge me cos couldn't decide which to choose so got both favourites... mantra to live by; when in doubt, order both
