Don’t even go near this store, unethical and sells faulty phones. Bought a secondhand phone, the uncle guaranteed a one year warranty while purchasing. Went back after 4 months and said he didn’t mean it, was only a joke.

Wow what a rude old man (in specs). I went in to enquire about passport photo. Quoted me $25 for print of 6. I said I want digital copy for online submission. Went on to quote me $18. I felt it was still rather pricey so I decided to check other shops before making a decision. I told him “I’ll come back”. Upon hearing that, he retorted rudely “don’t have to come back. I won’t do for you”. Wow. Just wow. I assume he owns the shop to be this snobbish but this is a sure fire way of pissing off your customers so they never return. Worst attitude I’ve experienced ever.

The worst possible customer service experience in my life bar none. Don't even bother with this shop. It's the same "Uncle with Specks" other customers had bad experience with. I went there looking for a UV Filter for my camera. He was offering me a deal with a battery I didn't want. When I started asking about other camera related questions, he refused to answer saying that till I made the deal on the battery and UV filter, he wasn't going to answer any questions about camera equipment. When I tried to tell him that his approach was not the best to get customers, he went belligerent and became very very rude. Please don't waste your time at this shop.

Today I had a similar experience to many of the others who have reviewed this place. He refused to tell me the price of a bag because I said I wasn't ready to make a decision immediately. My guess is that he's bitter after years of people looking but not buying because they can get better prices online or at the large chains. Of course this doesn't justify rudeness or the story about the screen protector, but I think it does explain why he reacts so aggressively in certain situations. I suspect it would be possible to have a good experience if you know exactly what you want and how much it should cost. I don't advise visiting just to browse though as he will not respond well when you decide not to buy anything. I would also be very reluctant to buy anything without a manufacturer's warranty from him.

really bad experience. I went to buy camera accessories and the old man wearing glasses said "my camera is good and opened products". He applied accessories to my camera and persuaded me to buy many things, opening new products. I asked the price and ridiculously expensive which was twice more than the price I know so I complained the price he said the products are already opened so I needed to pay!!!!! even though I didn't need and ask. He forced me to pay money. I got ripped off and really angry this happened in Singapore I always like to visit regularly. This made me soooooooo disappointed at local shops and never recommend this shop!! I should've read google reviews. Other bad comments were right.

NOW called Digital Camera Centre - opposite Watsons at Far East Plaza. Avoid at all costs. The UNCLE IN SPECS (as mentioned by other customers) is a scammer and does not deny it. Definitely ask for his prices BEFORE saying yes, do NOT trust that he will charge you market rate (or at least, a reasonable rate). When asking him for his pricing logic, he refuted by first saying that I should've asked before paying (fair) BUT later admits that he charges at prices that his customers find to be overpriced, but in his words, "too bad, they need my services". Extremely rude, disgustingly confident and will turn your case against you making it seem like you're the ultimate fault. Like the other reviews, he admitted that he charges at exorbitant prices to pay for rent. This unethical store NEEDS to be closed down ASAP. Someone needs to come investigate this scammer of a dude.

Please be very careful when dealing with this business. I didn’t read any of the reviews and had awful experience in the summer. The sales person used the fact that I had gone to buy a camera for my little boy, who was very very excited to have his first camera. As every parent, I wanted to make my boy happy and get him a good present. We were told the prices at the end, scribbled hastily by the salesman on a piece of paper, no formal labels with prices, nothing. In addition he indicated that the prices he was giving us were “special” and 30 per cent below what we would normally get. I thought it was very expensive, but my little boy had already hugged the camera and little photo printer, so I paid. What was my surprise later on when I discovered that one could get these same items for a third of what we were charged. I went back to tell the guy that - no apologies, some mumble about him having to make money for renting the place etc. I understand that shops are in a difficult competition with online business but being charged 3 times over the price is excessive. And coming up with random explanations about non existing discounts at the same time. He used my motherly love to scam me - there is though karma, I told him and he will pay one day for his deeds. PS The salesman was the same “Uncle with Glasses” others have previously referred to.

This shop needs to be shut down. They are cheats. My husband bought stuff from then thinking the total was around 200 instead only to pay and see the receipt later that it was over 500 dollars. Only for some Polaroid film, charger and batteries. Insane!
