Their Truffle Cheese Wheel Pasta ($14) is probably one of the most affordable one you can find in Singapore. It boasts a very thick creamy sauce with a good amount of truffle flavours and yet not too clogging! I find myself being able to finish this plate myself. Love the cheese used as it is really rich with a slight nuttiness. We ordered a side of Truffle Fries ($6) and it came with such a huge portion! Really addictive. Will be back to try their pizzas as well!

For what it’s worth, it’s hard not to give it 5 stars. This is for you if: - you enjoy Italian food, because this is not a fusion pasta place - you don’t mind queuing and subsequently waiting, it can take as long as 15 minutes to queue and 30 minutes for the food - you don’t mind sitting outdoors, with a chance of being seated at a table that is less than ideal The queueing, waiting and ambience all adds up to the overall experience, hence, I feel the need to stress those pointers. I would suspect that if you’re with elderly folks, young kids, or if you’re pretty hungry, perhaps give this spot a miss. If the queue, waiting and environment doesn’t scare you, I would encourage you to stop thinking and just go. Bring a couple of friends because there’s lots to try and you certainly don’t want to miss out. What I had: • Arancini which was very fresh, lightly battered, fragrant. The pomodoro brought the entire dish together. • Basil pesto with penne which was cooked al dente and drained well - detected no unintended dilution from pasta water trapped in the pasta. Pesto was tremendously well composed and well balanced. Pesto lovers may find that this is not “100% authentic” in style but it works! • Aglio olio was frankly the underwhelming bit for this meal. It was not bad but it was a humble addition to the meal. Unlike some other places, the aglio olio did not stand out here. • Pizza magherita was great. The freshness of the pomodoro stood out here. Pizza base was cooked right. I had mixed the plain bits of the base with my leftover olio and it was fireworks in my mouth. At this price point, Saporita has got to be the steal of the decade.

Was drawn to this place based on the amazingly high reviews on Google - but was a rather disappointing trip.. Quick note: It doesn’t open as early as 5pm on a Friday evening, we returned the next day (Saturday) and it was packed with patrons at roughly 5.45pm, with limited seating available. Ordered the Margherita pizza, aglio olio pasta and some truffle fries to go with the meal while waiting - since the waiting time is 45-60 minutes at the point of ordering. ? truffle fries was decent at $6, couldn’t ask for more from them ? the pizza was okay, pretty soft and chewy, and with the options to customise your toppings, it was a rather innovative touch - also cooked and prepared on the spot, it definitely is fresher than the frozen ones. That said, it just wasn’t amazing in taste somehow. ? similar to the pizza, you are able to customise the pasta to your liking. But again, it was nothing to shout about, really bland pasta and was saved only because there’s chilli padi to add to the taste. Not sure if we would return given the long wait time - though it is a rather good environment to chill out and enjoy the frequent fly bys of those rehearsing for the NDP parade.

Tried the signature truffle wheel pasta and Margherita pizza with beef pepperoni. The food was delicious and portion was good. Would definitely come here again to try out their other food items. Do give it a try if you are around the area. :)

Had dinner with my hubby and brother here. We had their best selling pasta, salmon and rib-eye steak in medium. I would say that the rib eye steak is the best! Superb and worth buying. You want to enjoy a steak in an affordable price then you should head down to Saporita ? I gave 4 stars because their pasta is so-so for me.

Such a hidden gem in Esplanade area! Their Italian dishes are yummy and so affordable ? If youre getting the truffle cheesewheel pasta, I’d recommend getting some meat toppings as well to balance out the creaminess ? Overall, value for money ??
