Let me share the secret story of this Seng Keep Fish Soup. The stall was original selling Roasted pork meat and Char Siew rice. There was a stall named Xin Yuan Ji 新源記鱼汤 next to current Seng Kee Fish Soup. The lady owner evey day stood in front of her stall stared at this Xin Yuan Ji Fish Soup had good business and always had long queues. One day an idea stroked her, she switched her stall from selling roasted meat to fish soup, not only that, she lowered her soup price to $3.70 against XYJ fish soup,($4.00) slowly the business goes to her, from there her business took off. She even outsold XYJ fish soup. XYJ business dropped and finally the owner of XYJ gave up the stall. Currently, the stall is selling dessert. But, the XYJ owner also smart, he shafted his shop to downtown area 31 Tan Queen Lan street, #01-01.S188117. The shop is attracting many many youngers, business is very very good. The price$5.80+ is reasonable in that area. The restaurant is air-conditioning. The owner has also added in Zi Char as well, he knows younger can eat and willing to spend. Had been eating from Uncle Seng for more than 10 years, I usually pack my lunch back to office, today is one of the rare days that I eat at the hawker centre. This is one of the best fish soup I ever tried, the stock is so sweet that I can drink it on its own. The fried egg omelette added is delicious too ??

Average bowl of fish soup. Saw a customer bring back a bowl of fried fish soup and commented that he order slice+fried fish soup with milk. Instead of adding on slice fish to the existing bowl, saw uncle taking out some fried fish from the customer’s bowl and then re-using the fried fish taken out for the next customer in the Queue! And because of what I saw, I ordered slice fish soup! During covid times, he shouldn’t do that coz you don’t know if the customer who returned the bowl of fried fish soup has already eaten from that bowl.
