Sengkang Dental Surgery

Visited the clinic with a relative who needed dental treatment. Dr Teo was the dentist who attended to my relative. All I can say from my relative's encounter that he is profit driven and cares less about his patients' pain. He was impatient and rushed through his procedures.

Had a severe pain in the tooth/gum, went to see him in hope that he could help. He took a quick x-ray, showed me on a little screen and quickly proclaimed that my tooth was dead, only 2 options, to pluck or to do root canal. When I was about to make the decision to pluck the tooth, he says that if the tooth breaks, have to go for operation and that will cost extra (I was wondering, what if it was his own mistake, why should I pay?). I was traveling over the weekend, didn't want to take a risk, so I left the clinic, and I was given one kind of antibiotics and pain killers. The medicine wasn't strong enough, had to see the gp who gave better ones. Saw a dentist at a poly clinic, he proclaims that my tooth was fine, just gum infection. I saved my tooth and a lot of money. The dentist Dr Teo H H is pretty profit driven. Best to get a second opinion if tooth extraction is involved

My mother went to this dental clinic as she had a shaky tooth (incisor). The dentist, Dr Teo, suggested to have an x-ray taken. Without any explanation, he wanted to go ahead with the jab at the him. My mother stopped him and asked for an anesthesia so that the jab would not be painful. Dr Teo only applied very little and immediately gave her a jab before the anesthesia could take effect. My mother was in pain but she tried her best to ensure it. Soon after the jab, Dr Teo again immediately extracted her tooth forcefully until my mother screamed in pain. Dr Teo paused a brief moment but his facial expression showed it all. He smirked, shook his head and criticised my mother for her exaggerated reaction during the attraction of her tooth. My mother explained that the pain was unbearable and excruciating. Dr Teo continued to say that my mother's scream created a bad impression of his clinic and his customers who were waiting outside at that time. This dentist is clearly unsympathetic to his patient's pain and agony. That was the last visit to Sengkang Dental Surgery at Rivervale Plaza. Never again! Deeply disappointed with the ethic and professionalism of the dentist!!!

No idea why the review here is sooo bad!!! I’ve decided to drop a visit today! :) Dr Teo is super patient and nice. He taught me a lot of things!! Super detailed with his explanation too heh! Really happy with the visit, hence 5 stars!!! Thank you very much to the receptionist too, very nice lady! :)

The online reviews actually don't do the clinic justice. Felt that the dentist is really experienced and will patiently explain the reasons for certain procedures to be done. While he does joke abit (which some might find insulting as he will bring up how your current dental practices are wrong), I believe he does so to lighten the mood. Overall, high trust in the dentist and my family goes to him for all our dental procedures.

I feel bad whenever public posted poor review in regardless of which type of trade. I am a regular customer of this clinic and follow up my annual checkup with this clinic. I am satisfied with Dr Teo and his assistant service. Dr Teo is able to answer my queries if I m in doubt. He is patient to explain to me. His assistant Wendy is friendly too. My husband who has experience sudden gum infection and his dentist is only available in two week time and his dentist staff say in the meantime my husband can visit GP to get antibiotics. As he can't bear the swelling, I recommend him to Dr Teo. This is his first time encounter with this clinic. My husband says that he is very satisfied with Dr Teo service and he is well attended by Doctor. Hope that public can try this clinic and experience yourself despite of the posted poor review. Thank you.

Having problem for my teeth now is my big problem coz i dont know where to go or which dental clinic can trust. Because my dentist is in the Philippines. When one of my colleague ask me to check Sengkang Dental Surgery i doubt coz i dont know if cheaper. Before i make a book to this clinic i keep calling 3 Dental clinic but nobody answer the phone. So i call this clinic and binggo! Someone pick up and schedule my appointment. At first they rescheduled becoz doctor is sick i understand. And during that moment i search and check the reviews and mostly is negative. I have a motto that if i dont see and experience i wont believe what people say. So i give my shot in this clinic today, and im happy and very satisfied for my experienced towards to Dr. Teo. He is very nice and very kind. He will explain what you need to do and its your choice if you want. Been 10 yrs here in Singapore and never been do any dental clinic and this is my first time and its worth it. Thank you Dr. Teo and his good assistant.

My family has been under Dr Teo's care for almost 15 years. He was always patient with us, showed a lot of concern, and was professional and skilful throughout. Whenever any of us had tooth-related issues, he'd be the one we would see and never once have we regretted it. Before commencing any treatment, he would also explain the procedure and pricing - a true sign that he respects his patients. And his injections are painless too. Highly recommended!
