Serangoon 304 Kopi Point

This eatery is a popular choice for Nanyang JC students when their canteen is packed (god knows how their school can set a common lunch break for close to 1800 students when their canteen is built for 800 students) and I would say the place is relatively good with quite a number of decent food. The mixed rice stall offers subsidized price to students for a set of 1 vegetable dish and 1 meat dish with rice. The food is relatively good, with a balanced variety of dishes for selection. Another recommendation is the traditional Chinese Claypot Rice which is tasty and quite rare at local coffee shop stalls. Other relative better choices include the Chicken Rice (the porridge at the stall was quite good also). My take is to avoid the Zi Char stall and the Fishball noodle stall (this is the part I picked on). Other than that it should not be too hard to get good meals at a price below $5 there.

This coffee shop has very nice and cheap local food to offer. It is frequented by students from the schools nearby. There is often space available there. The fishball noodles are worth a try in my opinion, as well as the mixed vegetables rice stall.

Adequate heartland HDB food court with enough food selection.

Try the claypot rice, and the chilli is great. Order that first if you are getting something else cos it takes time for them to cook. Ban Mian and the western food is good too. Enjoy.

The economic bee hoon stall is very expensive. $3.60 for beehoon, 1 fried egg and a sausage. There are cheaper ones around Ave 2, just the next street. Diudiu indonesian food is good and affordable. Kopi uncle with the purple hair is very cool!

The hot plate chicken rice is terrible, they sell the leftover chicken , don’t know keep for how many days , some more the chicken is not hot at all .only the rice is hot

Nice claypot chicken rice with chinese sausage & salted fish.. tried the sesame chicken as well.. yums! Need to wait about 20mins for claypot rice. Worth a try when u are around the area!

Wanton Mee, the signboard read “Katong”, a franchise I supposed. The Wanton Mee is exceptionally good, great noodle quality and texture, taste traditional goodness. A must for Wanton Noodle fan. Most of the time the cook did it right. Price $3.50 Highly recommended for the Katong Wontan Noodles above. Coffee bought separately is $1.20, not bad actually. Overall nice morning ambience especially when seated along the edge and planters.
