Old style prawn beehoon soup. Soup has fresh prawn taste and savory. Taste is not bad, but portion is a bit smaller than average.

Got a bowl of $4 dry prawn noodle. Although the taste was good but I felt the stall very stingy with the prawns. I observed the way the owner chose and pick the prawns. 3 slices of small ones. Probably my last time eating this stall. Unless they change their mindset to be more generous. By the way $5 will probably give you 1 extra prawn.

Mediocre food and small portions aside, the one star review is for the poor attitude. Ordered 2 packs of dry noodles to go, and no soup was given until I asked for it. She then unwillingly gave one pack of soup. I asked for one more pack of soup as I ordered 2 portions of noodles. She insisted that it's 2 portions of soup in that pack. I took it out to show her that it doesn't even look like the amount for a small bowl of soup. She then said that's more than what they usually give for one portion of soup. I am not even asking for more than what they usually serve for dine in portions. Went home and pour it out, that pack of soup doesn't even fill up a small bowl. Basicly 2 bowls of noodles share one small bowl of soup. It doesn't even cost them much more for that one pack of soup. Hard to support such hawkers with this kind of attitude.

I really wanted to like this stall because I love hae mee, but unfortunately the meagre serving portions (2x half small prawns for $4 portion) and the bland soup just left me feeling sad and confused. Considering how many great options there are in the serangoon garden market, hopefully auntie can step it up. A little generosity can go a long way (both with the prawns as well as adding complexity to the broth)

Bee Heng Prawn Noodles worked for me. The $4 portion was just right enough to last till lunch time. I like that the stall holder was very efficient and I need not have to wait for too long. Taste is old school.

Chili and soup was good! Cannot remember how much this bowl cost. Paid more for the bigger portion but still the portion can be improve. Will be back for more! Saw they do sell Laksa as well. Keen to try their Laksa next visit.

Very tasty and fresh bowl of prawn noodles. The chilli is also shook and gives a nice umami and spicy punch. The stall is underrated which I suspect mostly has to do with portion size. The number of prawns given (two) is actually commensurate with what most stalls give except at this stall they don’t halve it like the others do which gives the illusion of more prawns. The only thing I wish they did better in was to give more noodles!

What an excellent bowl of prawn noodles! Go for the 5-dollar portion because it gives you an extra prawn. The prawns are completely de-shelled, which makes a very satisfying bite. Would prefer the thin bee hoon to be a little softer, but the chilli, soup and lard are all very good.
