Their Sedap sets are like happy meal for the family. My to go place to tabao when everyone is at home for lunch! Check out their various sets with different mains. It can be hard to decide what to eat, especially when everything looks so good. BBQ chicken was very well marinated and grilled, the curry dishes are equally good. Will want to try the curry fish head the next time.

Sin Ming may be more well-known for car workshops and car inspection centres, but there are some hidden gems here that are definitely worth your attention. Serangoon BBQ & Curry is one such stall, located at the foot of a HDB block that has four (yes, FOUR) coffee shops. Originally from Serangoon (duh!), the stall was sold off, but the old couple came out of retirement and their loyal customers have flocked to their new stall, like smitten fans to a BTS concert. There are a total of eight Sedap Sets, where a choice of protein (BBQ chicken, curry chicken, curry fish fillet, BBQ sotong, etc) comes with any two sides (achar, begedil, sambal kang kong, omelette, etc). The permutations are endless. I went for the ????????? ??? ??????? ??? ($5). The large chicken thigh sported a crispy brown skin, while the meat was masterfully marinated. The sides I chose tasted great as well. The cabbage was crunchy while the sambal goreng was suitably sapid. I also added a fried egg  to complete my meal. My makan buddy picked the $? ????? ????, which came with a portion of mutton rendang and a choice of vegetable. The mutton rendang surprised me. Not only was the portion colossal, the mutton itself was very tender and the rendang which coated it luxuriously possessed the right amount of oomph. My dining experience at @sbc.1983 was spectacular. Not only does it deliver delicious dishes in big portions, the prices are very cheap as well. Will return without hesitation!

Our favorite bbq grill chicken for the whole family! Juicy grilled chicken and flavorful vegs. We had to rush there every weekend before peak hour as chicken run out quickly. Must be there when shop opens to get the happening fried chicken! So glad we found this store!!

Finally had the chance to visit this place in person on a Saturday morning. Had ordered their bbq chicken sedap set twice to work before and I really like their nasi padang. Everything was rich in flavour but nothing was oily at all, I must say the cooking here is very clean. This time, I had the mutton rendang set, my sibling had the fried chicken set and we added their promfret and squid to try as well. I loved everything we had, you just know that it was all prepared with love. On top of all these, their sambal belacan really hits the spot, it has a nice heat and some tang which is very appetising! We were served by the son who mans the counter, thank you for your friendly service and thank you for the food, Uncle Tan and Auntie Cheong ❤️

Really glad they made a comeback. Has been following this stall more than a decade ago. They shifted a few times and then sold off the stall. Now they are back again. Seems to be getting more and more well known now, far from the low profile eons ago. The Q is really long so be patience.

I had been looking forward to dining here after seeing the social media posts and definitely was not disappointed! Really enjoyed the butterfly pea rice as a solid base to hold all the wonderful flavour and gravy. The chicken was still hot out of the fryer, with an immensely crispy skin and juicy, succulent white meat inside. One of the highlights of the meal was definitely the sambal, it added a delectable zesty hit of flavour that made the entire meal really enjoyable. I really enjoy the homey food here, delicious and warms you right to the core!

the food was great - hope they keep it up. all the dishes were cooked with care for the taste and texture, and didn’t feel oily (even when fried or stir-fried). i particularly liked the sesame seeds in the begedil - it added a bit of flavour and more importantly texture. it’s creative and refreshing. the blue pea rice was very fragrant. we liked the fish tail curry a lot, it had depth of flavour and complexity of spices while still being a relatively light curry - we even bought soft white bread from the mini mart to finish up all the curry ?

My second time dining here and the owner could remember my name when I was placing the order! Was such a pleasant surprise and the food was superb. Had the grilled chicken and fried chicken set, both were super juicy and packed full of flavour. Even the grilled chicken had a nice crisp which you don’t get at many places. Cabbage looks plain and unassuming but was a huge hit among us! We added an extra curry fish fillet to share, flavour was spot on with a slight Indian vibe to it, but my only gripe was that it wasn’t hot. One small complaint but everything else was banging, the queue speaks for itself so please go early (like before 12 at least) if you don’t want to be disappointed. Will definitely be back so please save me some fried chicken hehe
