β β β β β Overall Standard drop. The horfun is so overcooked and the sauce is too oily and makes you feel super greasy and nausea after eating halfway.
Will not recommend.
The staffs also don't bother to clear the trays off the tables.

β β β β β Decent Ipoh noodles. Not fantastic but not bad. I was preparing myself for the bad service after reading the many reviews but was pleasantly surprised that everyone in the shop is normal. Aunty at the cashier was patiently waiting for us to order. She also changed the noodle to hor fun when I told her that I ordered hor fun as they served noodle to me. Wonβt purposely drive to the north to have this but wonβt mind going there if Iβm nearby.

β β β β β Shan Cheng supposedly serves Ipoh food. You can find Ipoh Hor Fun, Lum Mee, Curry Chee Cheong Fun, in the menu.
This is the only branch that I have tried (several times). My main issue with this branch is the inconsistency of the food. The same dish can be really delicious one day, and very bland the next day. I wish that there's some kind of QC in place but obviously not. So if you feel particularly lucky, by all means go check it out!

β β β β β Love the yong tou foo, the cha siew (nicely charred but not fatty) and the turnip cakes (on the sweet side). The portion of the noodles is big, so if you are a small eater, do ask for half the portion. I could not finish mine. The hor fan was too soft for my liking. The sauce for the noodles can be better though.

β β β β β Not my kind of food. Sauce of the noodle are bad. Soup serve cold. Fried food is normal. And this dinner for 2 cost us $30.40
Lol.. my neighborhood can serve better and affordable noodle. Won't be back.
