β β β β β Update 15 may: I revisited the place again today and found that the service has much improved. Hope this will be sustained and I'll definitely return. Managed to take a nap too. No hard selling :)
I used to like going to this place for nail services but they have become super hard sell recently. I cannot have a peace of mind when doing my nails without being harassed to buy a laundry list of products and services. I hope the owner/manager will moderate this kind of sales tactic so that customsers who are looking for some space to relax wont be made so tired from pushing away all the hard selling. Too stressful and tiresome.

β β β β β This is a horrible nail place. It is the worst nail shop I've ever seen. They only have profit in mind. They do not take into consideration of the customer need. My mom did a gel mani and normal pedi with them. But due to the need for urgent operation, she had to go back to them to remove. It was free for them to remove her gel mani, but they charge my mom $5 for removing normal pedi. Furthermore, I've spent hundreds of dollars for all the package. I personally think that they are too petty with small sum and profit margin, ignoring the needs of their customers. Hence, I will suggest everyone to think twice before going to them.

β β β β β Thumbs Down!!! Horrible experience on hard sell at Shangri-la Nail Spa. I WILL NOT go to rest of 3 shops ie. Princess Manicure, M Beauty Spa and Manicure Room - Very irresponsible owner. BEWARE!!!!!
Patronized this shop for 1st time for both manicure + pedicure, hard selling started when manicure was done and got stuck seated as my pedicure was not done. And I was under pressure when both staff hard sell, didnt want make confrontational scene end up signing as I wanted to get out to have peace. Very much regretted subsequently when i re-read the package was unreasonable to sign extra as basic has inclusive which suffices.
I went down to shop next day to cancel my package as my understanding we have at least 3 days of cooling off period. Manager said she is not authorized and need asked owner. Day 2 - no update until i called + when down to shop, Manager said could not reached boss as overseas. Day 3 said boss only back Monday as boss cannot speak more but owner back on Monday. Returned call on Monday by service staff, just said Boss said cannot cancelled, I said to get Manager call me. After few hours Manager called and just said boss said no cancellation and cannot give boss(owner) contact. Very irresponsible and unprofessional shop owner. And challenging our Singapore Regulations. I have written in to CASE for this matter. DO NOT GO TO ANY OF THEIR SHOP IF YOU DO NOT WANT HEADACHE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

β β β β β I have been patronizing them for years now and often recommended it to others saying it's the best in the area, but in the recent years their standards have dropped drastically. Some of the staff who are actually skilled & nice to customers have either quit or transferred outlets, and all the new staff members are not as friendly or gentle. All of them also apply the polish with varying levels of skill, and sometimes I get a chip within the first week.
I often observed that they treat each customer differently and even gossip about other customers / colleagues behind their backs. Have also heard from nail artistes in OTHER SALONS (not nearby competitors too, but those in town) that the work environment is very toxic at this particular outlet which led to the evident bad teamwork and customer service.
They would also not check my package details and often forget to add on some items that I have paid for until reminded to do so.
I have decided to finish up my package and not renew it, the reason being that they recorded my contact number incorrectly while having their internal updates and I stopped receiving text messages or calls entirely - resulting in my package expiring without any knowledge of it. They were also very unapologetic about this and did not offer much of a solution, saying that "it's stated on the paper". After Phase 2 of Circuit Breaker when businesses could reopen, I was surprised to see the lack of customer service on their side.
A lot of their long-term customers are middle-aged or older ladies who would most likely not see these reviews on Google, but just a fair warning that they can be quite pushy with their services. The prices are pretty steep and they would also pressure customers to add-on items for additional services / spa treatments which is not worth it considering the subpar service. You would be lucky to get a nice staff member once in a while, but it's not worth the stress and discomfort, really.
