β β β β β Cozy place where you can get authentic Shanghainese food!
ζ’
θζ£θε
($2.50 each), ζ₯ε· ($6) and ιιΈ‘ ($10) are must try on the menu! ζ’
θζ£θ was nicely done, the pork belly was really soft and tender. Dip the fluffy bun into the sauce for a greater gastronomical experience! The crispy ζ₯ε· and its flavourful filling goes perfectly well with vinegar. ιιΈ‘ was very juicy and thereβs a lightly gelatinous feel to it. You can taste the booziness of the θ±ιι
, definitely better than DTFβs version!
We pre-ordered ηη
ε
($6) when making our reservation. Bite with caution as the scalding soup bursts right through the bun. My family loved it but I guess I just donβt enjoy pan fried buns that much.
We also tried δΈζ΅·ε°ι¦ι₯¨ ($3.50), my to-go breakfast when Iβm in Shanghai. I absolutely loved it, even though itβs just wanton soup to most people.
ε°η¬Όε
($6), a tad bit saltier than DTFβs, but more flavourful with a more chewy skin. I liked it and thought it was better than DTFβs, albeit sadly, thereβs no ginger slices to go with it.
Ended the dinner with εηι₯Ό ($2.50 each) and ι
ι
ΏδΈΈε($3). Loved the chewy εηι₯Ό that had red bean fillings.
ι
ι
ΏδΈΈε really fell short of expectations, cos my grandma used to make this at home. The glutinous rice ball was great (I love all mochis) but the rice wine was too diluted hence resulting in a watery rice wine soup. Could be better if it were more starchy and add more rice wine.
Overall still a great dinner and Iβll be back to try the noodles next time!

β β β β β This is a very nice 4.5 star lunch spot for some cozy family style non-pretentious Shanghainese fare. The popular dish seemed to be the Shanghai fried buns, but although the meat and soup inside was flavorful, I find the dough a little too soft - had better versions of this elsewhere. The star of the show was surprisingly the fried egg with yellow chives. It doesn't look like much, but the egg was fluffy with many layers, full of umami and the earthiness of the yellow chives just gave it that perfect bite. The other surprise was the stir fried french beans - not oily at all, each bite juicy with a spicy kick. The chicken noodles were springy and nice, and the xiao long baos were okay. Would be back to taste the rest of the dishes. Packed on a wednesday afternoon for lunch. Note, they only accept cash - and call to reserve in advance.

β β β β β Beef noodle with very tiny beef
cannot believe there is no spring onion for θ±ζ²Ήι’ & fried buns ?
Maybe the dumplings & spring roll are the best, but I wonβt come again.
you may avoid ordering noodles.

β β β β β Small little restaurant in Ang Mo Kio which has been around for Many years. Home cooked styled Shanghainese food. Simple yet authentic taste. Owners are from
Shanghai who has settled in Singapore for many years. High standard food with reasonable price. Totally worth a try !

β β β β β Food tastes good. Price is cheap. This is a small family restaurant with 3 persons only. That might be why some people reviewed abt service. Coz they donβt have a lot manpower. But they also donβt charge 19%. And the auntie boss is friendly. So in general worth revisiting.

β β β β β Quaint little authentic store below a HDB. Not very accessible by public transport. Bosses and chef are Shanghainese. Do give them a call before coming to make reservations as the crowd is very unpredictable to prevent disappointment ?
Flavours wise everything is freaking amazing. ?
Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the vegetable spring rolls and pan fried buns. Would say portion wise is really small. But it's good enough not to over eat. Average cost per dish is $6.
Complimentary homemade Chinese chrysanthemum tea w no sugar inside in a huge flask ? really feels so homey I love it ?

β β β β β overall the good quality is good, just that the portion is rather small. didn't expect the noodle quality is so little, tho the taste of the pork noodle is rather yummy. ηη

ΏοΌthe taste is rather mild. the chrysanthemum tea is chargeable, $2.40 per jug, not FOC as commented by other reviews.
