Very delicious hotpot. The prices are very affordable. The default soup base and sauce has beef oil in it. If you cannot eat beef due to religion, you can inform them to change to vegetable oil instead. The two person value meal that’s available during lunch is very affordable at $35.99++.

Found this great alternative for #Hotpot lovers in the west, introducing #ShiJianHotpot (#食间火锅). . I am usually not a #MalaSoup fan, but theirs is good; thick, flavourful and savoury. Pairs really well with their #GarlicOilSauce. . Their #Meatballs and #PrawnPaste (#虾滑) are highly recommended. Meatballs are soft and tender, while the prawn paste are plentiful! ??? . Staff are friendly and helpful, provides great recommendations too. Not entirely cheap, but comparable to other hotpot restaurants. . #StanRecommends #StanzFoodHunts #JCube @jcube_mall @shijianhotpot #JurongEast #Jurong #ChineseCuisine

Came here during Mother’s Day because hdl was too crowded but thoroughly enjoyed our meal! Server even was so sweet to wish my mom happy Mother’s Day. Value for money and the food is very fresh too.

Went for the lunch special promotion, would say the price is reasonable and the portion is huge for two ladies. We brought leftovers home haha The sauces are fixed so you can’t pick the ingredients like in HDL, but not too bad. Look at the amount of chicken meat they give! (Second photo) The meat tasted like chicken thigh, very delicious, suggest to eat the meat first before you realise you’re full. There’re only two pots so you can’t choose clear water like in HDL but that’s fine. The service is not bad, raise hand (sometimes a few times) and you’ll be served. Generally a good experience, will come back again for the lunch promo!

Alight at the green line Jurong East MRT interchange and walk towards Jcube. Head up to 2nd level and you will be able to find this steamboat restaurant right beside HaiDiLao. During peak hours, their waiting time is similar to HaiDiLao with IKEA chairs placed in line. What they are well known for is their Mala soup base which is rich and flavorful. I have to say it's quite different from similar hotpot competitors but to be honest, I do not feel it is worth the hype. The meal made me quite thirsty thus I would prefer the Mala soup base from Beauty In A Pot by Paradise. Surprisingly their sauces cost $1.50 for each bowl. One thing to take note is they only accept cash, NETS, Alipay and Shopee Pay. I have to applaud their employees for their great service. They will always serve you with a smile which made my unfortunate experience with them slightly better. I found a piece of plastic in my prawn paste after cooking it in my soup. It was stuck in it which looks like a cut corner from the packaging of the prawn paste. I highlighted to their employees, they changed my soup thus their service recovery is well executed. The prices and quality of their dishes here are very similar to HaiDiLao thus even with their great attitude from their employees, overall I would rather patronize elsewhere than here.

A great alternative to the over-rated HDL right beside them. First soup bases served are really good but the topped up soup is a little blend. Food served are fresh and appetizing, ambience is cozy and suitable for friends and family gatherings. The only down side is they are unable to cater to big groups which have more than 6paxs, will need to split tables.

1st visit to Shi Jian Hot Pot (Jcube). Rather reasonable priced and good variety of food items for selection. Set menu available as well. Indeed satisfied my family's craving for hotpot after relaxation of COVID restriction measures. Friendly and attentive staff. I did not rate 5-star because of the lacking in ambience and rather tight spacing between tables. Nonetheless, it's quite value for money comparing the other 2 hotpot restaurant on the same level. Will be back again.
