Some kind of noodles disguised as Mee Siam Mee Rebus. Weird chilli too?! At first I thought is was some Chinese version, turns out no such thing. Just some kind of knock off Malay breakfast that oddly attracts long queues.

Best mee rebus and mee siam in this area. Always have long queue. The mee rebus had a shrimp taste and topped with many tao pok bits. Be prepared to wait for at least 20 mins though.

Very nice mee siam and mee rebus. The taste was made to suit Chinese palate. Very cheap too. Only open in the morning.

I like the mee siam and mee rebus. Many ppl are willing to q at least 20 mins. Ppl bought back 3 to 5 packets, some couples ordered 2 different ones at 3 dollars each. I went at 915 and got my food half hour later, by the time i finished my mee siam and dessert it was almost 10.

It was a cold, rainy Saturday morning. On my search for a piping hot bowl of food to make myself feel alive again, I stumbled upon Shi Xian, an inconspicuous stall nestled in the middle of a bustling HDB estate in Ang Mo Kio. Although the stall had a humble, nondescript appearance, the snaking queue leading to its entrance betrayed its true reputation. I simply had to try what they had to offer. The sheer efficiency of the family working inside made short work of the queue, ensuring it never grew to unmanageable proportions. When it was finally my turn to order, I was greeted by a helper with a demeanour so radiant, it almost put the sun to shame. I decided to order a small portion of Mee Siam. From the first mouthful to the last, I was taken to a different dimension as the flavours of the dish bombarded my mind, and I was left an emotional mess when I realised I had finished my bowl of food. So my verdict is this: please visit this stall while itโ€™s around and youโ€™ll never forget it for the rest of your life.

Mee Siam. Mee Siam specialty stalls are like the economic soup version of economic fried bee Hoon. Homely and tasty but just not easily found in every food centre nowadays. Lucky residents here.

Traditional tasting Chinese Mee Rebus! One of the best and tastiest! Affordable portions at $2.50 and $3.00. They keep both the noodles and gravy separated when you dabao so that it won't get soggy! Enjoyed it at the comfort of my home. :)

One of 2 stalls with a long queue. Uncle n aunty manning the stall worked very systematically to clear the queue quickly. Mee rebus was yummy with the right amount of sweet, savory, mini shrimps shallots etc..
