I was at Haw Par Villa Container 2 for 2 nights. Its very calm place. They are maintaining the place supper clean and the customer service is superb. Only draw back is you have to walk some distance to reach the place.

Secluded and quiet, unique experience with great service. Lorraine has been helpful, room is clean, fully equipped room with cutlery, pot, cups, knives and all plus insect repellent and instant noodles for supper. Electric grill is available for rental and love the peacefulness.

I'm writing a review because I had such a terrific time at the Shipping Container Hotel @ Haw Par Villa and I feel it deserves more publicity! A group of friends and I stayed for a night (in Container 1) and instantly fell in love with this hotel. It's a serene place for a short getaway with friends. It's well-stocked and you can tell the people running it put real care into providing for their guests, very thoughtful. Kudos to Lorraine and the team! Will definitely come back :-) Breakdown of the experience: Location: It's a short distance from Haw Par Villa's main exhibits. Although it is a hike up the hill, it is away from the bustle, making it a peaceful and serene environment with little passers-by and curious eyes. Its proximity to the forested area makes it feel like one is on the outskirts of Singapore! However, getting to the nearest convenience stores involve climbing the hill, so remember to stock up on snacks and cup noodles beforehand. Environment: The container's front porch is a great place to chill. Container 1 is surprisingly breezy and shaded. We were armed with mosquito repellent and coils but discovered that they were provided! We set up two repellents indoors and one outdoors and I barely got bitten! There are 3 air-conditioners inside but really, you just need 1 to stay cool. Space: Despite its small and simple exterior, the furniture, fittings and storage are well-laid out, giving off a cosy feeling but also maximising space use! It didn't feel cramped at all and I could imagine myself staying for longer. There are two fold-away queenish-sized beds and a sofa with removable seating for modular living. There is a kitchen area with a fridge and freezer, a stove and a kettle. The bathroom is also luxurious with generous counter space and shower stall. Amenities and Provisions: This was the part that blew us away. The pantry/kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils, bowls, plates, cutlery and three types of glasses which was so convenient! We could reduce waste while eating comfortably. There was even cooking oil, soy sauce and high-quality sea salt and pepper grinders/shakers. Tea towels, trash bags and even rubber bands made it easy for us to keep the place clean. There were cotton pads and q-tips, and even the shower foam felt thick and lux. It was pretty much the convenience of living at home with everything at your finger tips, but better! There is a smart TV inside that has Netflix and Disney+ provided for, and we were pleased to find mosquito repellents, a recycling bin and umbrella provided!!!! Amazing. Others: Hotel guests can get 50% tickets to Hell's Museum. A grill can be rented for BBQ.
