Got a great deal from Kris+ for a 7 course lunch set. The food quality was excellent, and we are totally filled after the 4th dish. All in all, wonderful ambience and free parking coupons provided.

1st time to this restaurant. Good ambience and service. Braised pork belly in whole pumpkin was excellent. Stew beef brisket and signature beancurd were good too.

I was not sure if the food was going to be okay but to my surprise it is a very good place to have some spicy and nice creative dishes. I would like to say the quality is amazing as well. Hope the standard will maintain and will keep coming back as well. Had the fish soup and the dessert bean curd with ice cream both of these dish is very special. Not something you can find in other places.

Getting to Sichuan Restaurant is by elevator at Shopping alley of Plaza Hotel. They serve good Sichuan and Cantonese cuisines. The Dong po stewed pork belly in Pumpkin bowl is awesomely tender. The Double boiled Soup of the day, offer umami broth. The Home made Tofu and Sichuan spicy chicken are all delicious and authentic in flavour. Prices are above average and all the service Staff is attentive and cool. It's a great dining experience.

July 2022: overall was a good experience. The food was tasty though there was an awkward pause when some dishes didn’t come out after some time and we had to ask whether they were forgotten.

Had a really enjoyable dinner with the deal from Kris+ app. The 7 courses were really filling, felt almost like I was attending a wedding dinner with the spread. While some dishes really shone, some dishes like the noodles and dessert were just acceptable at best. Restaurant was nice and quiet being a weekday evening that I visited. Staff were attentive as well.

3 Stars rounded from 2.5 Stars. Food was great but the whole experience was dampened by the disappointing service. We waited for almost 1 hour before the first dish was served and took us more than 2 hours to finish our dinner as the subsequent dishes just took forever to appear - every other table seem to be more important than ours. We had to check in repeatedly with the service staff on when the next dish would be served. Other than the manager who was settling our bill at the end, no one else appeared apologetic despite us voicing our displeasure. While we understand that there are manpower shortages from the covid situation, this shouldn't be the convenient excuse for all the service lapses that we experienced that evening. In any case, this is not a 'walk-in' kind of business. The restaurant would have known in advance the crowd size and managed the resources accordingly. Expected more from Si Chuan Dou Hua, especially as it is not a casual dining restaurant. A simple apology when we first pointed out the lapses would have made the evening more pleasant but unfortunately, the apology came too late. Updated as of 20 May 22 The Si Chuan Dou Hua team was very kind to invite us back for another meal. Definitely a welcome gesture from them which we appreciated. Our thanks to Mr Andrew Lee and Ms Winnie for hosting us. Was indeed a much more pleasant experience as compared to our earlier visit (hopefully that is the exception from the norm!)
