Just 10 days into 2022 and I’m sure I just made the worst decision this year by going to SMILE dental clinic. I was attended by Dr Lee Ning Han to do fillings. He asked how did I know that I needed fillings since there’s no record in their system. I told him that I was advised by other dentist. (I’m not sure if this made him uncomfortable or anything) The whole process was just very hurried and slipshod. I merely asked if he was a rush and he told me that’s his way of working and it can get annoying if blaablaa which I didn’t catch what he said behind. Dentists would normally use their tools to check on your teeth before starting any procedure right? That itself done by DR Lee caused my gum to bleed. ? It took only 20 mins to get 3 fillings done and now I need to spend extra cost to visit other professional dentist to ensure that it’s all done properly. FYI: if you are looking for real professional empathetic dentist, you can try DP dental at Kovan. their prices are slightly on the higher side but at least you don’t pay peanuts to get monkeys. You are welcome. Lastly, appreciate if the admin don’t reply to this review with a standard template reply as it can get as annoying as the dentist. ?

A very unpleasant experience with smile dental Hougang branch When I called and made appointment with the clinic, I have asked the price for polishing and scaling. They told me it is around 80 to 120 + GST. The treatment was done by Dr Madeleine Chew. It was less than 10 mins from the time I stepped in to the room to I stepped out from the room. After that I was told to pay 180+ for the bill including consultation, scaling & polishing, Prophy Jet and medicine. I was argue with them I don’t know what treatment she did, what medicine she put and never told me the price before she did. I also don’t know what consultation she has made for me as the only words she spoke to me was “open the mouth bigger”. In the end they only waive the $35 medicine fee. However, after I went back home and looked at the mirror, my teeth are still very dirty and I really don’t know what she did worth $144.45. Never go there again!

Booked an appointment 1 day before and it was not recorded: Tried calling but no one picked. But at 11am on Saturday 19/03/2022, had received a call back and was told Sunday have slot either at 10am or 4pm. Chose and booked 4pm slot. Sunday went at 4pm and was told no such booking. Then who was it that called me back and booked for me on Saturday? I had even gave the caller my phone number and she could say “Samson right” after checking the system. Was at the counter and staffs looked high and Low but could not find the booked slot and clinic had people. Did not want to further destress staff and left without making any noise. This feedback is for those who wants to book and visit this dental. At your own risk and your booking may not be recorded. Definitely do not recommend this and yes, you have lost an existing client. Tons of dental clinics out there.

Please please do not visit this clinic.. they are worst. I went there for a implant of my molar tooth that was suggested by other docs. The doc who attended me told I need to replace the existing crown & there is no need of implant. Which I agreed to as she is the doc. Later she make me pay for new crown and say if the pain don’t go will do implant. And the money that I payed for crown will not be refunded. She say this after paying. After a lot of arguments we just left the clinic. My pain never went … so they booked an app With senior doc to do the implant. Got the implant done there. Which eventually had to be removed. My implant never recovered.The doctor had no answer to that. He just kept saying I don’t know. He asked to me to re-do the implant. My money is stuck there. I’m definitely not going back. Everyone at the clinic just seem to be so rude.

se do not visit this dental clinic at all! Dentist screwed up my root canal teeth and ran away, when asked to do compensation on the visits done during this treatment, the director of this clinic said That the dentist must have done me wrong so that they can refund me. When complaining about this issue, The director can tell me the employee is just a “contractor” of the clinic, he’s not permanent there, he just sign the contract and work there, he’s not an employee, what nonsense is this. The amount of time, money(close to 2k) wasted there and in the end I still have to go to a specialist clinic referred by them, not even subsidised, to spend another 2k there to fix an issue caused by them. This is the whole story 3. On the 22nd July of 2021, i went to examine my tooth at smile central dental clinic after being in pain for a few days. X-ray was done by Dr Jeff and apparently there was an infection in the teeth and i was given a few suggestions such as root canal, removal of teeth..etc I went ahead with the root canal suggestion and continued with the procedure done by Dr Jeff. He recommended me with the porcelein tooth for the crowning. As the events followed, the whole process was finished and done on 27th August 2021. on September 4th, the temporary crown came off and i alerted Dr Jeff through social media, instagram, if i did not remember wrongly i went to the clinic on 6th of September to fix it. on 24th october, i decided to went back to the clinic due to some sharp pain, and xray was done and nothing was found so i'm given some antibiotics for suspected gum infection, i felt better after a few days. The pain came back again after a few weeks and the crown dropped out while i was flossing my teeth at night on 18th Jan. Few days later, i went back with the same pain issue on the root canal teeth and the loose tooth. Dr jeff wasn't able to identify the problem despite a few xrays. Then, he told me to observe and come back few weeks later to see if the pain is still there. Then, in between when i am trying to book an appointment, i was told that Dr Jeff was covid positive and stopped working at the clinic. After much hassle, i went to the clinic on 16th february and another dentist examine for me to say that there was a re-infection on the same tooth, and that there were actually 4-5 canals but Dr Jeff only managed to realize 2 canals and fixed it, therefore the excruciating pain, and there is a pimple on my gum and that could cost the pain too. They recommend me to Twin city endodontics clinic with Dr Soo as only specialist will be able to do a surgery on re-infection. The dentist told me that smile central clinic will proceed with the refund of the root canal and related cost. I left the clinic and checked with Dr Soo clinic on their prices and they said roughly 1.9k w/o GST. So i head down to the smile central clinic once again to get all my receipts and x-rays for smile central to do a refund. I also filled up a form with the amount i needed to claim, i included the estimate cost of the re-surgery as i felt that if it wasn't a mistake or negligence by Dr Jeff, i would have saved time and money on the surgery, as re-infection surgery fees won't be subsidized. Also, I feel that if the clinic is going to refer specialist clin, the list they can do for their patient is get a subsidized rate. During the period before i head down to get the refund form , it was a hassle too as the backend wasn't as efficient and i had to called daily to check on the progress. Therefore, i felt that if Dr Jeff had realized the issue earlier, i could have saved alot of trip and time down to smile central clinic and instead went on to the specialist. I demand Smile central dental to pay the full amount of the money for the re-surgery, which is going to happen on 28th March.

Went by the clinic to have polishing and scaling done as well as to examine a decay tooth. After 1 hour in the clinic, Dentist in charge recommended me all kinds of tests and X-rays, fillings needed and done for other tooth amounting to a huge bill of 800++ and was ultimately told that the decay I went to consult about cannot be filled? Dentist insist that I need a root canal or extraction which she urge me book for an appointment soon or alternatively could start on that day itself. Went to another reputable clinic to seek second opinion, fillings were done, was told no root canal or extraction is required as there is no pain experienced. Highly doubt if all the tests were necessary at all. Wrote in email for clarification and receive no response for 2 weeks.

Called them on Friday and was able to schedule an appointment for the next day for scaling & polishing. The dentist Dr Yang was friendly and patient~ Cleaning was done in about 15 min which was quite fast compared to other clinics, probably because my teeth are clean? X-ray was included as part of the check up too, can see my wisdom teeth growing haha. They are CHAS friendly so after discount I only have to pay about $80 :)

Had a wonderful experience at the Hougang clinic doing regular cleaning and teeth whitening. Dr Felicia is very good with her work and has good knowledge in her field. She advises how my teeth alignment can be done better by my orthodontist and is very meticulous... will be back for my repeated whitening session soon!
