SO Sofitel Singapore Unfortunately, there are still hotels in the Accor Group that know nothing about "hospitality", and even worse, cheat. For travellers looking for that little extra, hands off, nothing is coherent here, the worst 5 star hotel. To start with. We booked two nights as a Suite Night upgrade via the Accor DIAMOND hotline, but then had to bring our arrival forward by a week. As it was a prepaid rate, but could be cancelled free of charge one week before arrival, we booked the earlier arrival again via the Accor hotline. We had informed the service line that we would arrive early, around 11.30am. Arriving at the hotel, the journey went in very strange directions. We were greeted and told that we were early and that our suite would not be available until 3pm. Friendly, I told the staff member our status, incidentally the highest at Accor. The staff member told me that he did not know this status. I then asked for a possibility to change, he directed us to the toilet. The toilet was directly behind the reception, for one person at a time. Around 1pm I asked again if the room was available, a quick yes from the receptionist and we had our suite. There were only three of these suites, with balconies. All three were free, so it would not have been a problem to check in earlier, which is no problem with our status worldwide. In the room, no voucher, no attention, nothing. The room was not cleaned, the table on the balcony was as dirty as you can see in the picture, unbelievable and that with the Accor Covid hygiene rules. SO Sofitel is a main brand of the group. In the evening we were at the bar and had a lot of fun with the team, but when we wanted to have the bill written on the room, it didn't work. The nice man at reception simply didn't have our credit card information on file. On the second day we went for breakfast, covid or not, but this is no breakfast for a 5 STAR hotel of Accor's main brand. I decided to talk to the MoD. The MoD was super nice and invited us for dinner at the Sofitel Sentosa. However, we declined an upgrade to the Presidential Suite at the SO Sofitel. She promised us everything would be better after we got back from Sentosa. We got to the room and everything was perfect. Welcome gift, a bottle of wine and the drink voucher. Very good, respect. Then we went to the bar to redeem the voucher. There were still guests sitting by the pool and we sat down, wanted to order something but no one came. We went straight to the bar where a member of staff was standing the whole time and ordered, but nothing there, too late. Really on a Sunday evening at 9.30pm in Singapore in a 5 star establishment SO Sofitel, the bar closed. Not serious!?! But in keeping with the fact. Breakfast on the second day topped it all. They simply served the business customers, but not us. We still had our vouchers, wanted to redeem them for two glasses of sparkling wine, not possible, they asked us at this point if we wanted a beer, as sparkling wine was not included in the voucher. That was it... The same day we checked into the Sofitel City Center Singapore. A difference like day and night, a detailed report will follow. Last but not least, we had to call American Express today and asked our lawyer to get our money back from the cancelled suite night upgrade. After several unsuccessful attempts to contact the SO Sofitel Singapore. No response, we have been waiting for our money for more than 6 weeks now. Adding, the Diomond service does not answer emails either. Very sad, no matter if highest status or one way customer this is no way to deal with anyone. The worst experience in our travels around the world.

I wish I could have stayed longer, great boutique style hotel right in the central business and finance district in Singapore. Whilst the rooms are smaller than your average luxury hotel, the rooms are functional and most comfortable. I like how there is an iPad to control the various features in the room as well as snacks and drinks being complimentary.

Hotel short on staff for the moment so calls to the reception is not answered even if you hold for a long time. Other than that, the room do a feel a bit dated. A refurbishment is definitely in order.

Amazing stay at the SO VIP in this hotel. Originally booked the SO lofty for a birthday celebration. Got a nice upgrade from the hotel and Katika from the front desk was really sweet and welcoming. Room was nice, bed comfy and good lighting. Would definitely come back again

The hotel So/ was a great place to stay for a four night getaway to Singapore. Centrally located there is food from over a hundred cuisines on the doorstep in the arcade. The French chic rooms in the so/ hip wing are small but were appointed and were comfortable and cosy under the circumstances. Justin was particularly helpful at reception and made sure we had everything we needed including a complimentary drink by the rooftop pool. Highly recommend this place for a getaway!

Really impressed with the SO Lofty Suite. The bathtub is huge, the photos on the website doesn't do justice to its size. The room has a renaissance feel to it, and the mural ceiling with light is unique. Unfortunately, there was a pool party while we stayed (the hotel did offer alternative transport to their sister Sofitel at Sentosa to use their pool). We had the whole pool to ourselves the following late morning though. TV and room controls are managed through an ipad, seamless and convenient.

I am writing this review while checking out from this hotel after a week worth of stay. Location is just amazing, rooms are comfortable, and the hotel facilities are all top notch from the restaurants to the rooftop pool. I want to spend some words for the personnel, because without exception they have been phenomenal in making me feel welcome, appreciated and treated as a special guest. Everyone, from the restaurant staff to the city guru and the cleaning staff. One particular word of appreciation for Mr Jeremy at the Reception: he has been just perfect, helping me with a late checkout, a lot of useful information, and always with a smile on his face. He is a true Ambassador of the Sofitel quality of service. Hats off! I look forward already to my next visit!

Very good service and location. I love the service here and the staff are friendly and attentive. I came with young children and they constantly shown support and pay special attention to our food, even to seating arrangement for our breakfast. I really like the service there. Definitely will be back for another stay in the upcoming school holidays.
