Song Kee Fishball Noodle - 461 Yishun Ave 6

Song Kee Fishball Noodle at a housing estate in Yishun. Who'd have thought I'd be blown away by some random stall in a random coffeeshop at a random housing estate in a random corner of the island? Not me and certainly not my associate who accompanied me on this particular experience; my 7-yr-old kiddo Asher. What did he have? I'll get to that shortly. I ordered a Minced Meat Noodle (my particular combination of dry, bee-hoon, with no vinegar) and the lack of a queue or crowd meant my expectations were not spectacular. So imagine my surprise, when I took that first bite! Flavourful, yet subtle. Asher, who doesn't fancy meat or fish that much, tried the Fishball and this is what he had to say: "this Fishball is very nice and tasty"; he was right. The Fishballs were fresh (not with an overpowering fishiness), the spiciness was just right and the portion was proportionate to the $4. I'm definitely going back there again soon, like this week.
