Hua Zai Hong Kong Style Roasted Delight - 925 Yishun Central 1

Tempted to try this stall because their meats looked good on display. Dapao two sets of rice but ended up looking like only one as meat portion is stingy. Taste is only average as well.

Have tried other Hua Zai outlets before and their standard are pretty good, especially for Char Siew and Roasted Pork. This outlet's standard is pretty much on par with the others. The roasted pork skin is crispy which is what I like. Char Siew is a good balance of meat and fats.

If you want to cough face away from the food that you want to prepare. And wear your mask properly. It will be the last time to visit

Review March 2021. Order a take away order. Roast Port + Char Siew. Well taste is average. Meat for both is hard . Maybe next time dine at there would be better taste...

Located at Block 925 behind Northpoint City Mall at Yishun, Hua Zai serves a variety of Hong Kong styled roasted delights. Their mix platter yields a generous serving of a variety of cuts of their main items- namely, roasted duck, roasted pork, chasiew and chinese sausage. Their roast duck is juicy and quite flavourful, but is nothing really too special. Their roasted pork is nice and crunchy with a good amount of fat and pork. The meat is quite tender. The chasiew is nice, and is really one of the items that stands out from the other shops. There is a nice level or caramelization on its edges and is just a joy to have. The chinese sausages are almost candy like from their sweetness. I personally liked them, but it might not be for everyone. Overall, it’s a decent and relatively affordable stall serving roasted pork. It’s nothing too amazing, but it is better than most roast meat stalls.

Char siew is good , so as the gravy. Saw reviews about not the staff wearing mask properly. Can't agree more. It is a torn choice between commendable food Vs hygiene

Chanced by here and now I'm always back for Roasted Duck noodles. I've only ordered dine in, cause both noodles and duck are never good for takeaway. Meat is succulent with generous portions for it's price. Comes with various chilli, with their unique fragrant sweet chilli paste. Every order comes with self service of soup.
