A nice new addition to Havelock hawker center. Taste: fresh & generous ingredients, tasty gravy, enhanced by balanced sambal/lime. Price: V. reasonable ( see pic for $4 plate) Good vibes: polite and helpful service by young man on duty. Recommend to try!

Descended upon this stall after reading reviews of this relatively new hole in the wall gem by fellow neighbours. I was greeted by the friendly auntie who explained that they could make the dish according to customer’s preference level when I asked if the hokkien mee version is dry or wet. Even though the white beehoon was the recommended dish by many, I went with the hokkien mee (HKM) which I had been craving for a while. The service was relatively quick as it was just before 11am, a good hour before the lunch crowd madness. Boy was I not disappointed when auntie served me my delicious plate of HKM! For $4, it was a decent portion of yellow noodles and beehoon with 2 average sized prawns, 4 clams and crispy lard pieces. There was no denying the umami flavour swarming each mouthful of HKM goodness. I cleaned the entire plate. My tummy was full, my soul was happy. PS: I went back to tell the auntie it was very yummy and ordered the white beehoon for takeaway. It was amazingly different. Will definitely be back for more!
