Affordable crabs with a good size. Fresh love crabs at $30-55 (for 2). Ordered steam crab, not bad for this price.

Lousy food, thought food in Geylang are all of a certain standard, will never eat here again. There are loads of better food choices around the area so don't waste your time and money

- Invisible Customer - Warning Long detailed review. Place to NEVER visit under any circumstance. I have visited this place twice in the last 2 weeks only to be treated like an INVISIBLE BEING! To note that there were 2 Chinese nationals (I think), one with a squarish haircut mostly barbecuing chicken wings/ handling the drinks stall - I call him Man A, and the other with short shaven hair mostly at the cashier of the Satay stall, Man B. [Do note that conversations below happened in mandarin] Incident 1 - 7/5/22: Visited Soon Huat Crab, noticed that there was no one, but signboard was switched on, so I stood in front of the stall for a good 5 mins, hoping that someone would approach me. However no one did, so I decided to enquire with man A (man with squarish haircut) taking orders for Drinks, literally beside me, if the stall was open, and if I could place orders for some crabs or "Tze Char". Shockingly, he mentioned "yes the stall is open, you can place orders with me but no crabs available" and walked over to the stall beside to continue bbqing chicken wings. Expecting him to come back once I've made up my mind on what other food to order, I stood there for another good 10 mins, patiently waiting for him to finish bbqing the wings before coming back to me. He never did.... So I went over to man B ( short shaven hair) at the satay shop, if I could place some orders for Tze Char since man A was behind him bbqing chicken wings at this point. I said I would like to make an order for the "Tze Char" and he signalled for the man behind him to come out. I started telling him what I would like to order and before anything, he said oh we are not open today. WHAT JUST HAPPENED?! I Was perplexed & flabbergasted. Incident 2 - 14/5/2022: Thought I would give this place a shot once more, checked that the stall was open on Foodpanda and headed down to the coffeeshop to physically check if they had crabs available. Upon reaching, I went over to man B and asked whom should I speak to for ordering crabs. He signalled for man A who was behind him to come out. I spoke with Man A, confirmed that crabs were available and that I was going to place an order on Foodpanda since I had some vouchers to use. He suggested that I should just place the order directly with him ($70 for 2 crabs, whereas I was getting $69 for 3 crabs on FoodPanda). I politely informed him that I will place a pick up order since it was of better value for me after the use of my vouchers and pricing on Foodpanda. He responded okay sure, fiddled around with something behind the counter and walked over to BBQ chicken wings. I then proceeded to place my order on Foodpanda, stood by the side.. waited and waited for 10 mins, wondering why was this guy not preparing my order but BBQing Chicken wings? Then just at that moment, I noticed a notification from FoodPanda that said, MY ORDER WAS CANCELLED, and payment refunded with the reason being STALL WAS CLOSED. The stall was now closed for the day on Food Panda. ASTONISHING. I approached Man B who was at the cashier of satay stall to ask about my Crabs and why was man A not preparing it. Man B then asked me "oh what do you want?" I said I want to order crabs and explained that I have made an online order in which man A was already informed earlier. Man B turned and ask man A if he did say online purchase was available. Man A responded with a nod. Man B then said oh no we do not take online orders now as the supply is low and proceeded to walk out of the cashier with a bag of onions and cucumber towards the shop front of Soon Huat Crab. Sat down and started packing plastic bags of food. Total disregard of me having a conversation with him. What kind of business are you running? Do you not want my money? I want to buy Half of the crabs in your tank but you won't even give me the time of day. RUBBISH ATTITUDE Thank you for reading. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
