This stall uses charcoal to fire its dishes. The hokkien noodles are bursting with flavour. Extremely expensive though

Donโ€™t come. Tasteless & overpriced. Small portion for 2 pax and was charged $15. Overheard the auntie conversing in Hokkien with the uncle doing the dish. She referred to it as the $10 portion.

Charcoal Hokkien mee, still good after 20 years! But 2 thing I dislike about the food is the prawn they don't remove the prawn intestine, beside that it is freaking long Q. Uncle still insist using charcoal. Please do not expect super clean store and and polite staff. Haha.. uncle and aunty just wanna clear the Q fast. So do not delay here n there. If you want special request like no squid or prawn or bean sprout, do expect additional 20-30mins as they need to stirred fried a new batch for you. So tips is just grab and go. Their chili's is kinda spicy, ask to put at the side of the plate if you wanna try but can't eat much spicy like me. Hahaha

Swee Guan Hokkien Mee serves big prawns, I gather this is why their prices is on the high side... it starts from $6. It's charcoal fried and has ample wok hey, making the dish fragrant. I do find the broth lacking a bit of punch. Even so, it's definitely worth the visit.

Portion is really small for $6. Maybe itโ€™s kids size, adult eat confirm not full. Only special thing is the charcoal taste.

Very good Hokkien Mee. Probably one of the best in Singapore. But price process the high side although they gave plenty of ingredients. $8 for the plate that I photo.

The best Hokkien mee Iโ€™ve eaten. The Smokey taste from the charcoal, to the huge prawns. They close very early. Like before 5pm. So make sure to go early if you wanna try it.
