One of the best and tastiest mala I’ve ever had! Possibly even better than a certain famous mala place in Chinatown. Ingredients are really fresh too!

Reasonably priced. Food can taste different sometimes as there are quite a few person doing the cooking.

Likes it. Gravy is thick enough that it is not so watery like others. Ingredients are fresh and big portions, I like it that you can even add eggs into it!

Craving for some spicy hot pot? This place does it pretty well. Tasted really delicious and does not have too much of the numbing sensation from the Szechuan peppers. You are able to pick the spicy level as well. You pick your food from in front of the stall and they will cook it on the spot for you. They charge you based on the weight of food you take. So be cautious and don’t go all crazy or it will get really expensive. This is my 2nd time eating this and I’m sure it’s not the last.

I visited this place a few times and the pricing is fair! Among the better mala pots I had. This portion cost $10.50. What was surprising is that my beeper did not beep and the boss served me, simply because I was sitting right in front his stall, when he saw me perspire, he even provided a box of tissue! Wow! So if you are in Kovan, please support.

Though situated in a coffeeshop, but me and friends like this place because it is not salty, flavour is there and not oily. Some others are very oily esp at the bottom but this one is not. Important thing is no peppercorns, really dislike those peppercorns in the whole Mala Xiang Guo.

One of the best, if not, the best Mala I have ever tried in Singapore. Not too oily, despite my usual Zhong La! Ingredients are very fresh and Chef definitely makes his own mala paste as we witness him stewing it up each morning. Pork and mushroom, fish and lotus roots with potatoes are a must paired with spinach and ladies fingers. Have a try. They do have GrabFood and Food ? Panda services too ! Go try it if you haven’t! Near Kovan MRT , walk towards blk 210 Hougang Street 21 .

Chanced upon this mala stall and decided to give it a shot. Pricing wise, it was about $25 for 2 person portion. Went for medium spicy and it was a good level for me. If you can take spicy food I would recommend going straight for high spicy. Overall, it was surprisingly good. Not too oily and salty. Would come back again for any mala cravings next time.
