One of the best experiences I had at a hair salon! The salon is beautiful and clean. Through a friend's recommendation, I visited today to get a cut, color and treatment by Masami. She's professional, friendly and a passionate hairstylist. All of which are translated into her top-notch services. Before the cut, she was patient enough to hear exactly what I wanted, providing advise on certain questions I had about my hair. I felt that she was genuine in providing the best for me and was not pushy at all. Definitely left the salon loving my hair. Thank you Masami & Spiq ♡

If you're looking for top notch authentic Japanese hair salon/ services (even hair wash), look no further, SPIQ Hair Base is your go-to. Sio has been my stylist for the past six years; his work is amazing and they deliver consistent and good service. Regardless of your hair type, colour, hair woes, face shape, Sio would be able to offer you his unbiased advice and deliver or exceed your expectations. :) Similarly, Ryo is equally exceptionally skilled with hair cut and colour and will advise you on what suits you and not; neither of them are pushy and they'd listen intently to your requests. I've tried many salons, I daresay Ryo and Sio are the best Japanese hair guru(s) in Singapore. Both are A-stars and perfectionist with their works. You're definitely in good hands with either of them! P/S: New salon is amazinggggg. Lovely ambience, classy and contemporary modern. Be sure to check it out if you are in Bugis. For tourists, you may even walk-in if you're in Haji Lane/ Arab St area. Ryo is super conversant in English. Fret not.

Had my hair coloured and highlighted by Sky from SPIQ and I'm really pleased with how it turned out! Communicated what I envisioned with Sky and not only did he meet my expectations, he very well exceeded it with a touch of his professional vision. Staff were really friendly and loved the interior of the salon as well! Overall a great experience with SPIQ and would definitely recommend to my friends and family.

Highly recommend anyone who wants to get their hair dyed or bleached @ SPIQ! Sky attended me with utmost professionalism, everything was extremely comfortable as it was my first time bleaching my hair, he explained the whole procedure to me. Got my hair colored by Mashi-san for CNY. I had asked for grey-silverish highlights and he was very upfront about telling me the process, outcome and price. I got the first time colour/bleach package with treatment and he was nice enough to voluntarily give me a discount on the treatment as he said I wouldn't benefit much from the first time package as my hair was not long enough. Initially I thought the result was a bit dark and on the blue/cool spectrum but as he said the colour will lighten and change from blue tone to neutral and then yellow. So post salon my hair did morph into the original picture I had showed him - impressive as usually the results have fallen short of what I want in my visits to other salons. If you don't mind spending a bit to get great colouring results, highly recommend SPIQ and Mashi-san.

Sky did my hair for me. Prior to getting my hair done, I went in for a consultation where he gave me insights on the process of my hair and what I think would suit me best. During the hair process, he was very gentle and informative of what he was doing, at the same time he also told me how to care for my hair and what I can do next if I came back in for a touch up. Overall, I really enjoyed getting my hair done here due to their professionalism.

Very amateur hair dyeing techniques. I contacted them after the initial hair dye job to inform them that the results were not acceptable and I was not happy about it (see first pic). It was patchy and highlights did not start naturally from the roots. They then contacted me to return to fix the situation where my hair was dyed second time really dark with blue and yellow streaks without informing me prior and I thought that would fix it. Just a week after that, the dark colour faded and now it’s back to the horrible dye state. For more than $300 this result is truly embarrassing. The repeated dyeing also made my hair so dry and damaged that despite having two hair treatments there, my hair condition did not improve.
