Springleaf Prata Place - NEWest

Great neighbourhood Indian restaurant provides interesting food choices, and cozy environment. The red bean prada is crispy and addicting nice. The muta burger was filled with thick burger, cheese and sauce, quite nice and fulfilling. Yet the magi goreng we tried today was super salty somehow. Teh tarik is nice but can taste of using milk power instead of condensed or evaporated milk.

Good location - at end of building, looking further ahead over all other units' alfresco dining area. It was airy as we sat here to watch the flurry of activities right ahead. However, the table we sat at was not wiped after the earlier customers, seeing the curry spill-let's, beverage stains. The best were the teh tarek and papadum. Today's prata is sadly disappointing. They're not roti prata. More like prata crackers! They're crackers. Oh dear. Must have been a change in the chef. Well, to those who like crackers, it must have been a pleasant surprise. I still love the roti form.

We had mee goreng, paper prata, coin prata and some benedict egg prata or something like that. Can refer to the photo. We also had teh tarik. All the food is of high quality and nice. The benedict egg prata is nice with a piece of ham and hollandaise sauce. The prata used is also crispy and with flavour. The fish curry is very consistent in flavour (all the branches serve good quality curry and consistent all the time). The teh tarik has good tea flavour. Just remember to ask for less sugar because the default is very sweet. The only downside is that for any of those specially prata the price goes up very fast!

Tried their new high fibre (healthier choice) prata today. It was good. Their egg prata with fish curry was excellent and their ice teh tarik was Shiok. Today’s service by the madam was excellent.

I had a lot of food that day, missing from the photos were their prata, 2 kosong, 1 egg and 1 egg mozarella cheese. All these were consumed by only 2 person. Generally I like their food, and have been to Springleaf many times before, the reason for this review is that it’s my first time trying their briyani rice, Mysore mutton and their Nasi goreng. Conclusion is that they are really value for money. Taste is good. Hygiene and up-keeping: the entrance is slightly cluttered with a ice cream freezer, ordering counter and a table full of self help menu. Tables are generally wiped down and sanitized, and customers returning trays and utensils to the return counter. Things to note; if you wish to have a faster access to the shops facing the expressway, you may wish to park near the middle stair case. The outlet is located at the corner and the signage is hard to miss. There are outside seatings too, in general, try to order at the counter first before seating, as the queue to enter the restaurant is also the same queue for the counter. Waiting time can get longer when you decide to seat at the table and go back to join the queue for ordering. They are also family friendly with baby seats and friendly service staff.

Very nice prata place!!! Reasonable place. So many dishes tempting to try. Salted egg prata is very very nice. Highly recommended. Excellent service too.

The coin parta is crispy and savory. The plaster blaster and lamb shank is worth trying too. The rest of the dishes like murtabak, the briyani, masala thosai were a little disappointing. The butter chicken was pretty off though, both on the texture and taste. Drinks came in a hearty portion along with good service too.

Came here after seeing the crazy crowd at the Rail Mall outlet. So much more pleasant to dine here. Plenty of parking and the staff are also friendly. You have a choice of indoor and outdoor seating. It's even open 24 hours. Great that Springleaf prata managed to maintain standards across their branches. My son had the mini Ultimate Murtabak and I had the plain and plaster. All were just as good as when we first had it. Will be back even though it's further from my home.
