encountered lousy experience from this staff name neco lin. rather similar experience to the previous reviewer. my sister & i had wanted a pair of heels each. we were sitting nearest to the counter & store room. yet when we asked for sizes & colours, she seemed very impatient & unhappy. i saw how she spoke to the other lady, equally rude & the lady even apologised to her for not wanting the pair of heels. it was just the two groups of us in the shop & she already seemed so reluctant to work. initially the male staff assisted us with some queries & was very patient. i would have gotten the help from him again if not because later he was busy attending to new stocks that had just arrived. my sister managed to walk away with her heels but was annoyed with neco lin's attitude. i mean, shouldn't respect be mutual? overall, a very disappointing experience.

One of the worst experiences I’ve had at any shoe shop. There were three staff and only one of them, a short haired lady, was moving about serving customers. As she seemed to be busy with other customers, I approached the counter after waiting for some time for some service. Asked a lady at the counter for four pairs of shoes in the size I wanted. She told me curtly that one of them was a men’s shoe and I was fine with it. She then proceeded to check on the computer and curtly told me two pairs didn’t have the sizes I needed and when I asked to try the other two she did not acknowledge but went to go and get them. That was fine. I went to my seat and waited... till I heard someone calling “40-“ from the counter. She was looking at me and lifting the shoe for me to see. I had to go to the counter and collect the shoes and try them AT THE COUNTER. She did not come out from behind the counter at all and disappeared (to presumably the storeroom) after one of the shoes didn’t fit and I was trying the other one. To be honest I would have get the second pair I tried on but the service experience I received there was such a bad one that it left a bad taste in my mouth and I didn’t want to get the shoes anymore.

Staff were rude when i had my item returned. She talked to me in a loud agressive tone as if she will eat me alive. During purchase the one assisted me said i can definitely return as long as its not a sale item, mine was not. I had problems with the fit and even had it half size bigger than what i usually go for. After that i asked for a carrier for the shoes atleast, but told me they cant coz they are scan ing their carrier. Very bad and traumatic experience, i wont buy from them again

Today 10/2/22 @5pm, I was at this Steve Madden standalone boutique at Ngee Ann city. The only mature lady sales personnel there need to go for further sales technique and customer service training. Enquiry of availability of an item whether it exists in a different heel height, I was given a curt remark, all the sales items are there, what you see is what you get. Since sales items are just there, I asked whether other regular items have lower heels height, again same reply, it’s all out there. Fine, now I will never step inside this boutique ever as your sales associates don’t know how to make recommendation to meet a potential customer needs nor make any effort to make the experience a pleasant one
