Strand Hotel Singapore - 25 Bencoolen St

Location was perfect! 10 steps away from MRT Bencoolen and bus stop was just across the street. I found this hotel was very convenient for my family (parents and 3 years old kid). Have booked twin deluxe room for 3 nights through Agoda with reasonable rates. Our room was on 8th floor facing Bencoolen st. and Lazada bldg. The room was 22 sqm not too big or small including bathtub and necessary amenities also complimentary 2 drinking water per day. It was clean and comfortable. We’ve got pleasant stays. The hotel is on renovating the 1st floor so they do not provide breakfast currently. There are fews step (5 to 6 steps) to lobby without the slope way for baby stroller or big luggage, on day time there is doorman helping you carry the luggage but I haven’t seen anyone that can help you on nighttime. There are 7-11 on the 1st floor inside Lazada building and food court which plenty of delicious menus you should try!

very bad!!!!! receptionist is so mean they didnt want to provide extra towels. and the rooms are gross there were barely any amenities why the whole toilet only got 1 kind of soap???? there were suspicious white stains everywhere and long STRANDs of hair all over the place. the curtain doesnt close properly, the tv didnt have channels for me and my tamil speaking family to enjoy :(, and there is no stable hot water supply. overall just made us all feel very gross.

HORRIBLE!! My family and I checked in in the middle of the night out of desperation and this has got to be one of my worst stays ever! Instead of addressing our urgent needs, the receptionist was impolite and kept prying into our personal information, extremely distasteful! To make things even worse, the entire lobby and the room smelt of cigarette and had triggered my darling girl’s asthma! There were limited toiletries provided and the concierge refused to provide us with more. In the end, my family had to share one tiny towel for the entire night. We immediately checked out the next morning to get out of this lousy hotel . Overall, it is a BAD experience and come at your own risk!

Good hotel space, location RIGHT IN FRONT OF BENCOOLEN MRT STATION EXIT B. near foodcourt, bus stop, and 7/11. no bidet in the restroom. small lobby area and no sitting room (maybe becoz it was still in Covid19 pandemic). They have constructions in lobby area at that time. Overall, quite worthed.

Staffs were very nice and accommodating. The room was huge, but old. I was asked if I wanted to update to newer room, but I declined because I only stayed for one night. Its very very close to MRT and bus stands. Only complaint is that they dont have a ramp. So, I had to hand carry my heavy luggage.

It is only about 10min walk to orchard road with everything within reach, either by MRT or by foot. Nothing great to shout about this hotel although they have just gone through major renovation. For the price they offer, it is worth it you are just going for a short trip...

We were here for about 3 months between October 2021 and January 2022. This hotel is a solid 4 star. It may not have a lot of amenities, but the room was large enough for us as a couple to live in for 3 months. It was also decently priced compared to the other hotels we looked at. There was also construction going on in the building and the opposite building when we were there but the windows blocked out most of the noise. What is most important is that it was situated right beside the Bencoolen MRT which made it very convenient to get around.

We booked a room for two adults, a child without bed. The child charged but his towel was not provided.Need request. Normally they provides only one big towel for one adult, no face and hand towels. No slope to get to the front, so it's not friendly for wheel chair and baby pram. Location is perfect. Seven Eleven and food hall are i front of the hotel.
