★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Simple supper food fare. The prawn ufo is great. Price slightly high. Use the self service kiosk for ordering.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing food at even more amazing prices. Definitely a must try dinner/supper spot if you are in the Jalan Besar area. A great alternative to the nearby Swee Choon. It’s also just opposite Aphrodite, you can head over there for ice cream afterwards.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is really not bad. Kinda retro kinda hipster. One of the rare finds here in jalan besar. Ate the sandwich thingy, the buns are really good, buttery with a crunch. Fried chicken chop was great too. Generally a decent diner. Will visit again and recommend others to do so, they could use some crowds!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Read online that the owner of Reimondo Seafood Congee opened a new place and had to try it!! Loved their cheese steak roll!! The didi’s favourite cheesy rice is ok for me, not bad at all. Price point wise very affordable as well. Would come back again to try their udon as it looks fantastic☺️ they have ample of seats and close late so it’s a good place for hanging out with friends?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came here after the 8 days article. Short stroll from Jalan Besar MRT station ~5min
Really have to give 6 stars for what the boss Reimondo is contributing to society - hiring ex-convicts/ second chances.
The food definitely does not pale in comparison. A hearty and wallet friendly feed!
2 of us ordered 1 chicken chop, 1 cheesy steak sandwich and 1 ice lemon tea. Sadly they ran out of crab meat wontons but actually all the food exceeded expectations!
They were generous w the homemade ice lemon tea in a tall cup midway full of ice but at least it was tall! Cheaper than cinemas for sure. Not too sweet. Perfect thirst quencher.
The chicken chop was such a juicy flavour bomb! Probably the best and most value for money chicken chop I’ve tried. Reimondo generously shared their special flavour preserving cooking method that’s apparently time consuming but worth the while! My mum who doesn’t eat much chicken at all finished half of this!!
Cheese steak sandwich was so satisfying! Think juicy beef patty with melted gooey cheese on a very fluffy lightly toasted fragrant bun. Really hit the spot!
Most of all, the boss seems like a really nice and down to earth guy! In the 1.5 hr we were there…
He opened the door for a young family and stood in the rain to help open the car door for the young mum w child whilst the husband held the umbrella.
He also spoke to the foreign worker delivering goods with respect and kindly.
Would definitely come back to try their other food!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was delicious. I look forward to trying the rest of the items in the future. The owner even took the time to explain the story behind some of his dishes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don't be deceived by how it looks because it gives an impression of a HK char Chan teng but it serves kinda diverse types of food.
It looks quiet, there was only 1 other table occupied when I was there during dinnertime. There was no one at the counter and ordering was done via a machine.
I was planning to try some seafood dishes but disappointed to find it unavailable. Finally someone walked out and I asked and it was actually available. They activated the item and asked me to change to another machine to reorder my food.
Saw some of the items were actually chef's recommendations and decided to try out some. Got kinda confused by the Lao gong and the Lao po chicken wings so had to ask but they didn't really tell us what it was marinated with, so just had to order based on gut feel since both were recommended.
Dishes were prepared upon ordering so it took a while but the food was ready within a short while and served hot. The only thing that was not hot was the fries which we didn't eat much.
The UFO crab cakes were well fried and crispy, went well with the mayo. The Lao Po wings were a surprise because the taste was quite special, there was a danggui taste to it and it felt unique like eating fried herbal chicken.
Steak roll and lobster roll were not too bad. Enjoyed the bread for the lobster roll but felt more like crab stick roll instead with some prawn bits. I won't penalize because I wasn't expecting lobster for that price and it could be how it was meant to be for a "poor man's lobster".
I also loved the Seafood Creamy rice, felt like I was eating risotto and it was pretty well executed.
The drinks portion was 1 size and it was quite big as well.
All in all food was delicious and well worth the price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cosy place for a quiet lunch or late night supper. Staff are super friendly and are more than happy to provide recommendations and explain the dishes. I ordered the chicken chop and was surprised with how good it was (although a bit saltier than I would like). Even the sides (vegetables, mash potatoes) were nice. For this price and service I thought it was a good experience, especially if you’re in the area looking for affordable and comforting food without crowding with other people.
