Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal - 50 Tanah Merah Ferry Rd

The place could be quiet early morning and there's no shuttle bus direct here so it is via public bus no.35 of cab. Parking lots ample for those going for 1 day trip. There's cafe open from 6am so you won't have issue for not able to get food with 7eleven n mini stores that cater for your last minute personal needs. Even a golf sport shop that sell golf caps, luggage, clothing, swimsuits even for our little ones and toys. Taxi is easy to get or your cab always grab. The public bus come right into the terminal so you won't miss it.

Ferries at this terminal leads to Bintan and Batam. There's a general lack of F&B options. Duty free selection nothing much to speak of. Could use a little better crowd control at the ferry boarding area and more seating. Overall its functional, but feels very dated.

There are cafe before departure hall. A duty free shop and a small cafe serve drinks and foods for a fast bite at departure hall.

Review is based on pre covid experience. Not much food choices here. Not much seats here either. Came too early, and we had to stand at a corner for more than an hour. There are no seats outside the ferry terminal too. They should have more seats for the kiasu Singaporeans like me. Hahaha After you pass the initial checkpoint, would still need to go thru a few more checkpoints before you can reach the ferry. Signage are relatively clear so all we have to do is follow accordingly.

The outside and inside terminal looks okay. The latest technology to read the photo passport has been implemented. But the restrooms/toilets are bad. It looks like they have never been upgraded since late 90s or early 2000s

Crowded and serve its purpose before covid. This was like the gate way to some well known resorts in batam. Dead town now due to covid

Clean and big space. A lot of ticket station to choose. Have place for parking. Weather is good. Convenient for transport. Bus is near from the terminal. Aside from that taxi is available.

While the queues go down quickly, there is a lack of clear signposting about what are the queues for. There's also only one food outlet once going through the security so would recommend people to bring their own refreshments if they haven't got much time to spend queuing before boarding.
