Fishball noodles are really good. The fishball is bouncy and flavourful - you could tell they were hand-made. Noodles could be more tasteful! The grass jelly stall was really good - sea coconut + grass jelly combo is a must try!

Popular place to get good and decently priced food in the CBD area. Lunch times can be very crowded due to the office crowd from around the area.

Back to the hawker center today for lunch. Ordered Teochew Fishball noodle and another side dish - mix carrot cake. The mixed carrot cake has prawns as one of the ingredients (pretty rare). And both the dishes taste really good ??

A popular Hawker Centre in the CBD area, Tanjong Pagar Plaza Hawker Centre is popular with the nearby office crowd, providing highly affordable food options amongst the many higher priced eateries in the area. With a traditional wet market at the ground floor, the Hawker Centre section is on the second floor. Wei Wei Carrot Cake specialises in Fried Carrot Cake and is a firm favourite of the many visitors, seeing very long queues during lunchtime. This stall serves up their Fried Carrot Cake in various styles and the best option is their Mixed Version (Black + White) where one gets to try the best of both worlds. An interesting aspect of this stall is that they sell some simple local soup desserts which one can add on to make it a set or by itself. Fried Kway Teow Mee is known by many names online, Peter's Fried Kway Teow as well as Katong Fried Kway Teow, serving up 3 different styles of Fried Kway Teow. Teochew, Seafood and Teochew with Chinese Sausage. The Fried Kway Teow here is cooked in a wet style with wonderful Wok Hei. The Seafood version even has a couple of prawns added to give it an added juicy texture to the dish. Delicious is the name of the stall and as well as the joy of eating the food served here. This stall is helmed by a local Chinese couple selling Malay-style dishes and it is not a Halal stall. Their servings of Mee Siam, Mee Rebus and Lontong draws in the crowds at anytime of the day. Ordering up their piping hot food, one gets to enjoy the aroma of the soup base as well as the food. Jin Fa Traditional Hainanese Chicken Rice is a stall specialising in white steamed chicken. Seeing the long queue at the stall, the hope was that the chicken rice here will be good. Alas, the chicken though smooth and tender, was a little too salty due to the sauce added. Perhaps it would be best served by having the sauce in a separate bowl. Rolina Traditional Hainanese Curry Puff started out as a humble roadside stall and then a motorcycle sidecar stall before moving into a stall at Ang Mo Kio before they had their own bakery. The stall serves up Curry Chicken and Egg Curry Puff and Sardine Curry Puff amongst other small snacks. This stall was once a Michelin Bib Gourmand Singapore Award winner back in 2018 but is not on the list currently. Tasting their Curry Puff, one could perhaps understand why. The Sardine Curry Puff was normal at best, while the Curry Chicken and Egg Curry Puff was all spicy with nary another flavour. Traditional Soya Bean Drinks is a simple soya bean drink store that serves really good Soya Bean drink and Soya Beancurd. This stall is really popular and sees a long line during lunchtime. The beancurd is very smooth and the sugar syrup used pairs really well with the beancurd. The sweetness in the water chestnut drink is optimum and tastes good. This Hawker Centre has some gems and definitely worth visiting if ever in the vicinity.

This HC is at least 40 years old. Wide variety of food stalls but limited halal choices. The lunch crowd can get very busy on weekdays as the prices are much more economical as compared to others in the TP area. We had the curry chicken noodles ($5.50) and fried shark meat noodle ($4). The curry chicken noodle portion is huge and stall holder is generous with the other ingredients. Chicken was tender and we loved the huge curry spuds! The fried shark meat noodle taste was good. However the gravy was a let down as it turn watery within 10 minutes of serving. May be better to do it as a side order with only the fried shark meat and wantons without the noodles After we finished our lunch, we packed the Rollina curry puff, the red bean soup, dao suan, thunder tea. And we will be back for more

Popular Food Centre and Market right in the heart of the city. Thelunch time crowd is very large. The food centre is rather small after taking into consideration the available seats factoring in the safe distancing measures.
