β β β β β Never tried this wanton Noodle at this market before. Paid $4 for a bowl of dried noodle, asked for a little chilli.
The Noodle is Q and the portion is generous.
The char siew is also equally generous.
Both the soup and fried wanton is tasty.
The sauce and noodle is not well mixed, if enough sauce, I believe the overall taste will be much better.

β β β β β Went to Geylang East Food market around 8.30am and saw the brightly lit stall. Was attracted to the clean and red coloured signboard.
Ordered a $3.50 wanton noodles and was surprised that it was quite tasty. The noodles was springy and well coated with lard oil. There was also few pieces of fried lard. Soup was flavourful and could taste that the base was ikan bilis. Wanton was meaty.
Overall a satisfied meal and I would come back again.

β β β β β There are many Tanjong Rhu Wanton Noodles outlets across the island. Having their noodles reminds me of Starbucks or McDonaldβs. Regardless of which outlet, there is always that familiar ingredients and taste and almost never disappoint if you want to go for something safe so to speak. The noodle is thin and Q; the char siew is meaty and sliced thinly (to me nostalgic old school kind which is different from the fatty and charred type), in a very balanced and savoury sauce. There is also fried and boiled wanton. The big portion here is $5 and to me more satisfying than a bowl of more expensive ramen elsewhere.
