ZX was really knowledgeable and professional when servicing my foldie. Have been to a few places that weren't keen on fixing bikes that didn't come from them and were rude but the team at performance bike mechanics were non-judgemental at all + happy to help however they can. Felt like I was speaking to some friends during the servicing. David, one of the mech, also gave some really good tips on future bikes to upgrade to. Prices were surprisingly very affordable ??. Highly recommended for anyone who would like their bike serviced. Do note to take the lift further away from the entrance as the building has 2 lift lobbies!

Definitely the best bike fitting place that I had come across! Besides fitting they also provide other bike services and this include my recent request of changing my gear ratios. Good and sound advice both geared towards performance and cost efficiencies by Shane, a young but remarkably experience mechanic at PBF. Highly recommended PBF if you are looking for a ‘wow’ experience at an affordable price! Keep it up!

I was introduced to Shane the bicycle mechanic at Performance Bike Fitter by Alan Hoon after completing my bike fit there. I first asked Shane to convert my wheels to tubeless after two other bikes shops said that it couldn't be done. Shane completed to conversion and was very accomodating ensuring that everything was done perfectly. My second trip to see Shane was for a general service which included bartape, new tyres and service of the brake pads and brakes. Shane on both occasions communicated with me every step of the way, sending me pics of the work in progress and constant updates. Shane is honest. His advice and recommendations about the bike are geniune, He is a perfectionist and takes incredible care. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Took my bike to Shane for it’s first service. The whole process was a very pleasant one. Shane kept me informed of the progress of the service (including photos!) periodically. And I am able to communicate with him directly on the requests I wanted, which I find is very important for a rider to his mechanic. The service deserved more than a 5 ⭐️. Highly recommended.

Performance Bike Mechanics are my go to LBS mechanic gurus in this part of Singapore! Huge shout out to Shane and David. Both times I’ve had some bike trouble - once with a warped and badly rubbing disc rotor and another when I needed a post-crash assessment, which ended up being a fork replacement and cockpit swap out. They’ve both went above and beyond my expectations with their fast turnaround time, attention to detail, expertise and access to spare parts. They’re also super friendly guys who are super professional and responsive as well. I’m glad to have had given them a try for their services and I’ll probably be a regular with them for all my bike maintenance needs from now on.

David was very patient and detailed in explaining to me what he is going to do and at every point what his recommendations would be. Unlike some shops, David’s recommendation was rational and on parts where I like to go for a better option, he was cool about it too. I had another bike where I have some creaks on it and David was able to immediately resolve it when I was there. I really enjoyed the process and the bike without a doubt, was safe and perform smoothly. Great work guys! Well done.

I have been around to a couple of bike stores for repairs and servicing in the past and found most experience to be very transactional until I came to Performance Bike Mechanics. The team (all 3 mechanics, Ed, D and ZX) treat you like a fellow cyclist and a friend. On top of their good service and reasonable charges, they are very helpful to share their bike knowledge and experience. For past 1 year, I have only been with these guys for all my bike servicing needs.

I don't usually do reviews like this but my experience with both Performance Bike Mechanics and Performance Bike Fitters have been absolutely stellar, so I would really like to share it here. I sent my bike for servicing with David after having a nice chat with him while having a fitting with Alan. My 4 year-old Tarmac SL5 was in pretty poor condition after 2 years of neglect, with rust on the metallic surfaces and the frayed cables. He was very patient and helped to answer many of my questions, always informing me on the progress he made on my bike through constant pictures and videos and WhatsApp. He also made sure to let me know before he made any changes on my bike, even teaching me how to replace my chain when I went down to collect my bike. My bike now feels even better than when it was brand new after having David service it!!! XD To sum it up, having Performance Bike Mechanics work on my bike has been a very pleasant experience, where the mechanics there are friendly and treat you like you've been friends for years. David also really knows his stuff despite only being a mechanic for 2 years, which speaks volume on how skilled a mechanic he is. You most definitely won't go wrong putting your trusty steed in the hands of David and Performance Bike Mechanics and I'll be sure to go back to them in the future. :) P.S. The photos below are just a handful of what David sent to me while working on my bike. It really goes to show how much of a hard-working mechanic he is!!
